The Deputy PMO Director develops and implements PMO processes and policies,
directs project management staff, and works with other department leaders to
define, prioritize, and develop projects and programs.
Directs and oversees the Operational part of the Program Management Office
(PMO) and support the PMO Director to ensure all corporate governance
functions & programs and projects meet organization goals and requirements.
Being a Deputy PMO Director typically reports to top management in the client
organization and is effectively co-leader of a business.
The Deputy PMO Director manages all operational & departmental sub-functions
including DMO, CMO, TMO, WMO & FMO within a broader departmental set of
functions, supporting PMO Director with corporate, governance, legal, setting
business planning, investment, and steady state delivery including O&M /
lifecycle.
Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-functions
and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional operations
infrastructure for delivery.
Deep knowledge of the managed sub-functions and solid knowledge of the overall
departmental functions
Working as a Deputy PMO Director typically requires 15+ years of managerial
experience, specific Development or PM experience combined with hands-on
delivery of major programs/ projects.
Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent and a development & business
mindset as well as delivery experience.
