Job Summary

* To oversee and supervise end to end consolidation work flow, involved and not limited to activities/process for SABIC Group above other sub groups (e.g., SABIC HQ, Agri-Nutrient, SIIC, ISTC, etc.). Correlate, coordinate, compile affiliate wise data, analysis to provide timely and accurate legal reports for KSA submissions in-line with the Capital Market Authority & Tadawul requirements. In addition, to complete legal reporting and analysis to stakeholders as well as being the main interface with the group external auditors as well as the government auditors for the financial statements. Responsible for the core basic Trial Balance forming the basis for the Entire Legal, Statutory Reporting and Analysis as required by Law, Policies & Procedures and International Standards..

Job Purpose & Responsibilities

* Supervise the team to deliver of monthly, quarterly and annual group consolidation and reporting, in addition to monitoring and validating SABIC consolidations process in coordination with Statutory Controller. This would require the detail end to end consolidation workflow steps for all affiliates leading up to finalization of Group level Consolidation at the highest level.
Contribute and assist the FS Reporting team in different facets of Financial
Statements which is reported externally and internally through the Trial
Balance obtained after all key and non-key Consolidation activities.
* Monitor the consolidation team for performance of monthly, quarterly and annual consolidation routines by legal entity for all SABIC Group, and run validation routines to verify statutory data and identify inconsistencies. Not just limited to the key/non key steps of the entire work flow but also making sure the compliance to International Accounting Standards and company policies and procedure, by-laws and SABIC Board guidance's.
* Supervise the eliminations activities and monitor the performance of final global consolidations. Monitor group statutory reporting and reporting financial data (RFD), including commentary and supporting documentation. And ensure confidentiality of all Group financial data prior to release (note: role is a non-stock trader)
* Supervision of the preparation of global checklist for consolidations process, and monitor the documentation for the external reporting of SABIC Group legal reports to markets, banks, investors and other stakeholders.
* Review statutory reports with senior Finance management and legal entity management, and ensure timely submission to regulatory authorities. And ensure executive reporting is accurate, timely, and relevant and provides independent analysis for Corporate Finance leadership.
* Monitor consolidations and reporting services to all those affiliates without their own organization e.g. SIIC, ISTC across multiple regions. And provide expert guidance on controlling and accounting issues to affiliates and shared services which will lead to more effective and timely consolidated Financials at the SABIC HQ Group level.
* Support at the SABIC Group level as well as all sub groups (e.g., GCC, MEA, SLUX, etc.) in analyzing the performance of existing regional specific systems, processes, guidelines, perform required upgrades, ensure corrective actions are taken to enable best-in-class service offerings within the these groups and at HQ level. In addition to continuously find opportunities to make the function's processes more efficient and effective over the period, and share these with other leads.
* Coordinate, correlate, and finalize the zakat financials post year end to be shared with the outside Consultants as well as Internal Direct Tax Dept. Facilitate the external consultant in finalizing their submission to Tax Authorities. These financials will be over and above the existing consolidated financials as in line with the Local Direct Tax Authorities directives and latest upgrade in their interpretations (if any).
* Monitor consolidations process and identify opportunities for improvement, and execute periodic internal and external benchmarks for analysis of best practices and improvement opportunities.
Then educating, training and monitoring the affiliates (or sub groups) for
implementing these changes. Also make sure to create an environment to
inclinator learning,
knowledge transfer and core skill development for other team members.
* Maintain and assist actively in reporting process to ensure complete and timely data flow, manage business review session with the business and other functions involved.
Consistently making sure through constant follow up to incorporate the
activities/steps which improve data quality, efficiency and accuracy as
highlighted in the reporting process.

Minimum Education/Experience Requirements

* Qualifications : Minimum Graduate Degree in Finance, Accounting or relevant field.
* Experience: Minimum ‎9+ years of experience in finance roles. And ‎6 years ' experience of running periodic consolidations processes, including statutory reporting in a multi-entity environment and Minimum ‎2 years of experience in leadership roles
* Job Specific Skills : IFRS; Standard accounting practices; business processes; ability to understand and support organizational climate/culture
