Industry Energy technology (IET) part of Baker Hughes Company operates across
‎120 countries and serves the entire energy value-chain and industrial sector.
We hold an extensive portfolio of rotating equipment, process flow,
transmission technology and lifecycle services. Our mechanical Engineering
Team uses cutting-edge technology to design gas and steam turbines,
compressors and expanders.
Partner with the best
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for:
* Preparing and releasing of work instructions detailing assembly/packaging operations and development of packaging processes and procedures.
* Designing and validating of manufacturing tooling/fixtures.
* Providing electro-mechanical support to production floor.
* Creating of product routings within ERP system, Quality Control sheets, manufacturing forms.
* Supporting all aspects of pre-production and post-launch production through to project closure.
* Influencing design to ensure new designs are optimized for manufacture, performance, yield and cost.
* Leading process mapping activities to identify manufacturing risks and optimize build/test processes.
* Providing dedicated technical support to the packaging operations providing quick and effective solutions to daily production issues.
* Supporting new product introductions, custom product NCR resolution.
To be successful in this role, you will:
* Have a bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college.
* Have a minimum of ‎5 years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineering Specialist.
* Have experience in rotating equipment.
* Have fluency in English and Arabic.
Desired Characteristics
* Have packaging experience for compressors or turbine trains.
* Familiar with lifting plan for heavy items.
* Have experience and high level of technical expertise and skill to plan, design, set up, modify, optimize and monitor manufacturing processes.
* Have strong oral and written communication skills.
* Have strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
* Have ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously.
* Have effective problem identification and solution skills.
* Have proven analytical and organizational ability.
