Job Purpose

• Inbound materials planning to ensure short and long term sales requirements are supported by sound and achievable decision making.


• Strong relationship building with key stakeholders  procurement, external suppliers, manufacturing, demand planning.


• Ensure planning process optimizes materials availability to achieve customer service metrics (OTIF) whilst maximizing inventory turns and minimizing costs (OWC & SLOB management).


• Takes ownership for continuous improvement and performance management processes.

Key Accountabilities

Planning:
* Analysis of demand for translation to purchase plan for locally sourced and imported materials.
* Plan materials with an understanding of balancing cost and customer service.
* Data analysis to correct and prevent over/under stocking  short and long-term inventory planning, out of stock management.
* Ensure replenishment plan is aligned to OWC targets
* Manage reduction and prevention of slow and obsolete stock, including phase out and phase in.
* Maintain materials delivery schedule with suppliers per requirements.
* Analysis of supplier performance for corrective and preventative actions on service failures  drive improvement plans.
* Balance replenishment with an understanding of site warehouse capacity.

SAP experience:
* MRP for analysis of nett requirements.
* Create purchase orders
* Maintenance of purchase orders reflecting the reality of the replenishment plan.
* Manage MRP exceptions daily/ weekly
* Analysis of material shortages for resolution.

Continuous improvement:
* Data management: review and maintenance of master data in accordance with inventory replenishment policies & MRP parameters i.e. ABC segmentation, lead times, safety stock levels etc…
* Support implementation of respective CI projects, and the practice of process improvements in alignment with the company grow and deliver strategy.

Experience

• University Degree (e.g. Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, Supply Chain Management, Logistics or other relevant discipline)


• Relevant experience in Materials Planning preferably in GCC


• Experience on Materials Planning in SAP


• Fluent and able to work in English.


• Understanding and sensitivity to different cultural behaviours
