Your Profile
* Diploma or Certificate in Machine Tool Technology
* Proven experience in operating CNC milling and/or other machine tools
* At least ‎3 years of experience in the related field
* Proven experience in operating CNC milling and/or other machine tools
* Proficient in writing G & M Codes for CNC machine tools
* Proficient in reading drawings / blueprints
* Proficient with precision measurement tools and interpreting accuracies
* Proficient in following technical instructions and work packages
* Preferably conversant with both Siemens and Fanuc CNC controls
* Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing in both English and Arabic
* Able to prioritize tasks and to manage workloads in an effective manner with minimal direct supervision and flexibility in managing multiple and diverse tasks
* Effective problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in time critical situations
* Sensitive and responsive to the needs of different religious, ethnic, tribal, and cultural groups
* Experience in working in a multinational and multicultural environment
* Has basic working knowledge in the MS Office suite
Your Responsibilities
* Operate machine tools with CNC controls. Machines include DMG Vertical Milling Center, Huffman Waterjet Stripping equipment, DMG Laser Drilling and Huffman/Optomec Laser Welder
* Prepare machining protocol and discuss/review job specific details with Repair Engineer to deliver precision consistently in a repair environment.
* Determine cutting speeds, cutting tools and develop repair tooling and fixtures for machines based on job requirement and adopted machining plan
* Oversee cutting process, make adjustments throughout each job, catch mistakes as they happen and take necessary measures to eliminate errors
* Supervise machine temperatures, ensure that machine has adequate warm-up and cool-down time between jobs and replace coolant periodically
* Inspect all finished products for accuracy and uniformity to ensure product quality
* Perform daily, weekly and monthly maintenance tasks to ensure machine longevity, including lubrication, cleaning and tool replacement
