Job Description
Basic Function
Responsible for the full spectrum of tax compliance, proper tax accounting and
efficient tax planning & contracting advisory.
Key Accountabilities:
* Direct reporting to the Business Controller and functionally reporting to the Regional Tax Manager.
* Responsible for compliance with the tax regulations including VAT, Withholding Tax, Zakat/Income Tax, Transfer pricing and Capital Gain Tax.
* Preparation of tax returns (VAT, Withholding Tax, Zakat/Income Tax, Transfer pricing and Capital Gain Tax.) and other relevant reports for submission to the Tax Authority within statutory deadlines.
* Reviewing terms and conditions in contracts and agreements to determine Tax implications.
* Managing tax audits by the Tax Authority.
* Review of the accounting process and recommendation of the necessary changes in models with regards to taxation perspective.
* Provide advice to management on all Zakat / Tax matters and related inquiries.
* To prepare and review Zakat, and Tax provisions and Deferred tax calculation and disclosures in Financial Statement.
* Assists with month-end close duties and other tasks relating to tax matters when necessary.
* Ensure all work activities undertaken are carried out in accordance with company policies and standards.
Qualifications / Skills / Experience required:
* Degree in Accountancy
* Preferably with Tax Certifications
* Fluency in Arabic and English languages, both written and spoken.
* Minimum 3 year experience in a similar role.
* Track record of meeting deadlines and producing accurate work.
* Strong computer skills with proficiency in MS Office.
