SUMMARY
This role is for an Accounts specialist who can produce accurate books at
local level along with an extensive knowledge of VAT and payroll. The Accounts
specialist must be able to converse in English and exhibit a skill in solving
complex work problems, and display initiative where needed. Working
independently or as part of a team you will need to work to tight deadlines
and be proactive, with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely to
both internal and external stakeholders.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Listed in order of relevance:
* Preparation of local books to Trial Balance
* Payroll preparation and generation.
* VAT Preparation and Return submissions
* Maintain and track Revenue recognition
* Prepare Journals as part of Month end financial responsibilities
* Maintain monthly accrual and prepayment schedules
* Prepare reconciliations as part of the Month end process
* Post cash against Accounts Receivable invoices
* Involved with other tasks as necessary per direction of the Regional Controller.
* Respond to Auditor requests diligently and in a timely manner.
* Respond to change process productively and handle other duties as required.
* Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
* A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field plus 3 years or more of job-related experience; the equivalent combination of training and/or experience may be suitable.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
* Extensive knowledge of Payroll and VAT
* Strong/Advanced user of Excel and familiar with MS Word and Outlook.
* Experience with NetSuite Oracle desired.
* High level of analytical ability and accuracy.
* Highly organized and ability to work on multiple projects at once to deadlines.
* Ability to work independently and as a team with the ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision.
* Excellent interpersonal and organization skills required.
* Must have excellent English written and oral skills.
