Job Description:

• Provide risk management process leadership throughout the area to feed the SRM process and culture.


• Lead a team through expertise in most or all areas within a function


• Conduct risk assessments and risk workshops, and drive appropriate cross-functional risk treatment and mitigation through Risk Advisory Council members and local risk officers.


• Establish a Governance and Steering Committee of executives and key partners for governance, risk and compliance (GRC) activities in the region and major business divisions.


• Provide expert risk and control consultative guidance across the region for business unit and regional initiatives, projects and ad-hoc requests.


• Provide appropriate reporting and monitoring for the risk and control environment.


• Liaison with and ensure seamless coordination of risk and control activities with local and regional Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) financial control team, compliance managers, and operational risk and internal control coordinators.


• Plan and conduct regional risk alliance coordination meetings.


• Support Corporate SRM efforts in the region and business divisions, including risk sensing, GRC and other initiatives.


• Conduct educational sessions on risk management principles and practices.


• Assess quality and completeness of risk mitigation plans and coach others around improvements to plans.


• Solicit, record and track risk management data globally and create executive and board level status reporting.

  Conduct benchmarking sessions with other organizations and participate in risk management forums to bring operational improvements to GM.

Knowledge and Experience:
* Bachelor's degree with ‎10+ years of professional work experience.
* Degree in internal auditing, financial accounting or financial management is a must.
* ‎7 years of work experience in an audit environment
* Solid knowledge of regulations and guidelines.
* Skill in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures, formulating policy, and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures.
* Knowledge in enterprise risk management (i.e., risk analysis and control assessment)
* Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate across organizational boundaries.

Skills:
* Exceptional analytical skill, problem solving and business acumen, excellent presentation skills, ability to think strategically and creatively, proficient in MS office, able to fluently communicate in English & preferably Arabic as well.
