As an Industrial Hygienist you will be responsible to develop and lead the
occupational Hygiene program ( Chemical Agents - Ergonomics - Physical Agents
) by identifying and reducing Chemical Exposure, Noise, Ergonomics, Vibration,
Light and radiation Hazards and guide with appropriate controls to mitigate
risks for Giza Site with compliance to local and GSK standards. In addition to
proactively monitoring and reporting the IH program through GSK communication
channels.
This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to
progress YOUR career, these responsibilities include some of the following :
* Develop and maintain Chemical Agents management program including hazard identification, mitigation and communication. Improvement plan to maintain the CA Maturity model with above site regional IH lead.
* Lead qualitative and quantitative chemical risk assessment and sampling plan for site chemical exposure.
* Proactively monitor all controls and containment solutions implemented to reduce chemical exposure, noise, light, ergonomics, vibration and radiation risks through process task observation Gemba (IH-PTO).
* Develop Ergonomics risks reduction program through Humantech program.
* Implement qualitative and quantitative respiratory fit test for all site employees wearing RPEs.
* Qualify and lead team for all types of assessments related to Industrial Hygiene (CRA-Ergo, etc.).
* Work with containment engineer to find the best solutions on mitigating exposure to chemicals on site.
* Develop/ contribute to occupational hygiene training programs, co-ordinate the sharing of good practices, and collaborate with GSK SME network to promote best practices in GSK worldwide.
* Support in investigation of occupational injury, illness, related adverse events and other related adverse events as Per GSK standards and local regulatory requirements.
* Maintain EHS local & global regulations and Quality Management standards during work.
* Use GPS Tools and techniques effectively.

Basic Qualifications:
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our
goals:
* Bachelor degree of Pharmacy or Engineering.
* From 3 to 5 years' experience in EHS implementing / development programs, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
* Thorough understanding of key regulatory requirements (eg OSHA, NIOSH, NEBOSH and Egyptian rules and regulations) and their application to a manufacturing and laboratory environment, particularly in the following key areas:
a. Industrial hygiene, eg ergonomics, noise, chemical agents.
b. EHS management systems.
* Proficiency in Microsoft office applications and general overall computer proficiency.
* Very strong collaboration and facilitation skills.
* Demonstrate ability to effectively communicate with regulatory authorities, multiple levels within the company, through various format i.e. presentation, written proposal / reports / correspondence , leading meeting and face to face dialogue.
* Good command of English language.
* Very good communication skills.
* Problem Solving Techniques and decision-making skills.
* Ability to prioritize multiple demands, think strategically and successfully lead multiple simultaneous projects.
* BOHS certificates on Industrial Hygiene is a plus.
