Head Cash

• JOB PURPOSE
  The Head of Cash is responsible for monitoring universal tellers' transactions
  on daily basis; ensuring that all universal tellers are cash balanced at the
  end of the day and takes needed corrective actions when necessary, in addition
  to providing guidance and support for universal tellers and referring any
  potential selling opportunity to concerned parties.
  The Branch Head Cash shall be assigned as the substitute of the Branch
  Compliance Officer/Coordinator, i.e. the one who undertakes all the
  responsibilities of the Branch Compliance Officer/coordinator in case of the
  absence (for any reason) of the originally designated Branch Compliance
  Officer/Coordinator. He works as an extended arm for the Compliance Function
  and acts as a the point of contact between the Compliance Division and her/his
  Branch


• MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACOUNTABILITIES


• Approves counter and account transactions up to his/her limits


• Monitors on daily basis tellers transactions


• Ensures that all universal tellers are cash balanced at the end of the day and takes needed corrective actions when necessary


• Identifies branch cash needs in coordination with universal tellers


• Spots any potential selling opportunity and refers it to concerned parties


• Coaches and trains staff reporting to him/her to ensure full awareness of Bank's products, services and Policies and procedures


• Handles efficiently custody items and keys as per custodian matrix and relevant policies and procedures


• Adheres to Branch Operating Model

  Carry out any task requested by the Operation Manager and the Branch Manager

  In his/her capacity as the Branch Compliance Officer/Coordinator, upon the absence of the originally designated Branch Compliance Officer/Coordinator, will be responsible for the following:

  
  


• To support Compliance Function in the daily monitoring of Compliance with all the applicable (policies and procedures laws and regulations);


• Managing the Compliance Risk at branch level and to report to Compliance on issues related to Compliance scope (regulatory / AML).


• Ensure the Branch is fully compliant with all the governing applicable laws, regulations, policies & procedures, standards & review relevant transactions including but not limited to (FCY transactions/Internal Transfers/Bank Drafts ...etc., FCY cash deposits/ withdrawals, FATCA related Accounts & any other assigned tasks according to compliance circulations following the required standards & quality) and report any issues to the Compliance Function


• Undertakes all the responsibilities assigned to the Branch Compliance Officer/Coordinator as per the Bank AML/CFT Policy & relevant procedures which includes but not limited to (reviewing account opening & KYC update documents and process, review FCY transactions over the counter by non-bank clients (any amount), review AML reports/alerts & monitor customer accounts, reporting any suspicious transactions or behaviors (SARs & STRs) to the MLRO, record keeping, & any other assigned tasks according to compliance circulations following the required standards & quality)


• Undertakes all the responsibilities designated to the Branch Compliance Officer/Coordinator as per the Bank approved policies and procedures (Manuals) and Compliance Circulations;


• Monitor & ensure that appropriate remedial action is taken regarding any compliance issues or observations included within the scope of compliance desk monitoring or within the onsite monitoring reports.


• Timely & sufficient responses to compliance inquiries & requests.

  Responsible for increasing the awareness of all the branch staff regarding the laws, regulations, the internal policies and procedures.

  JOB REQUIREMENTS
  Minimum education
  : Bachelor degree in commerce or finance

Languages

: Fluent in Arabic and English (writing and speaking)

Ideal experience

: Minimum ‎3 years of experience as teller
