Job Description



  • Should have strong knowledge in Cisco switches &Routers

  • Should have strong knowledge in Switch configuration and IOS upgrades.

  • Should have worked on Distributed Control, Centralized Management.

  • Should have basic skill in packet capture and analysis.

  • Experience on design, configuration and implementation of data centre network, QoS configuration

  • VLAN, VTP, HSRP and VRRP network troubleshooting.

  • Should have strong experience in Datacenter migration and datacenter inter connectivity's (Fiber connection between DC's).

  • Should have strong knowledge in Nexus leaf/Spain and border Spain concepts.

  • Data centre Switching infrastructure management & configuration

  • Provides 3rd level technical support on data network related issues

  • Network IP address design and optimization.

  • Should have strong knowledge in Provide recommendations for new infrastructure planning and analysis results

  • Knowledge on routing protocols like BGP, OSPF etc.

  • Incident, change & Problem management

  • Configuration management

  • Capacity planning

  • Supporting escalated tasks/Incidents

  • Technical team management

  • Wireless, Datacom, Optical Networks, Intelligent Networks, VoIP, Switching Systems

  • Telecom Service Provider Applications

  • WAP Gateway, Bluetooth Solutions, VLSI/ System Design, OS / Platform Technologies

  • B2B/ B2C/Mobile commerce/ Web Security, CRM/SCM/ ERP, Datawarehousing, Client Server/Mainframe
    Fault Management - Detection, isolation and diagnosis of network faults and
    get them resolved.
    Configuration of the network and security equipment as per requirement from
    customer. This includes but not limited to creation of firewall zones,
    firewall policies, IPS signature tuning, routing configurations, implementing
    Quality of Services for certain applications, compliance of customer security
    policies, VPN/AAA configurations, creation of new server farms in load
    balancers, reverse proxy configuration for providing public access to new
    servers deployed by customer in future.
    Network Documentation - Document network, patch panel configuration changes
    and maintain latest network configuration and topology diagrams, security
    audit compliance documentation.
    Network Performance monitoring (Statistics such as utilization levels,
    collisions, errors, protocols, top users etc) and tuning - Using NMS/EMS.
    Inspection of all Main Distribution Frames & Intermediate Distribution Frames,
    on a daily basis.
    Continuously validate the security policy with customer and do necessary
    changes in configuration of Firewall and security components. The
    administration activity of the security products need to be done periodically.
    Taking periodic backup of network and security equipment
