Applications are invited for the position of Food Safety Supervisor

Key Accountabilities

Safety - Inspect and evaluate workplace environments, equipment, and
practices, in order to ensure compliance with EKFC safety standards and
government regulations.

Comply and Practice Company established Safety Policy and Procedures.

Leadership – Engaged Workforce - Ensure effective achievement of quality
assurance objectives through the leadership of its workforce – setting
individual objectives, managing performance, developing and motivating staff.

Ensure desired output delivery through effective roster planning / scheduling.

Discuss with Operations team and find and present solution to foreseeable
problems and take corrective and preventive action.

Food Safety - Prepare monthly roster and work assignments for Food Safety
Assistant;s daily tasks and supervise the food safety team.

Perform internal food safety audits and reports.

Provide trend analysis reports based on the product quality and supplier
performance.

Participate in supplier food safety audits.

Conduct staff Induction training (Food Safety & Customer Awareness) for new
joiners and annual refresher Critical Control Point trainings.

Perform verification of HACCP records, verification and record keeping.

Perform verification of ERP transacted finished goods against physical
quantity and location.

Conduct traceability exercise through ERP transaction and physical
verification whenever necessary.

Undertake investigations of material and finished products that show deviation
to the approved product profile and process.

Conduct Root Cause analysis and investigations on food safety related customer
complaints

Responsible in promoting and maintenance of GMP and GHP in all sections of
production.

Assures quality of raw ingredients, ready-to-eat food components and packaging
materials prior its receipt to food facility.

Supervise and observe the working methods and productivity of assigned staff,
assist them, and c provide necessary training to ensure smooth workflow and
target output is achieved.

Coordinate with ingredient and packaging material suppliers to ensure that
quality of incoming goods meets food industry standards in relation to food
safety and food quality parameters.

Work closely with production team in order to meet the required product
specifications and consistent compliance to the food safety and quality
systems.

Conduct Glass Hard plastic audit reports on monthly basis and follow up with
auditees to close out on time.

Conduct Monthly Food safety awareness briefing to production staffs.

Conduct Customer Awareness, Food Safety and HACCP induction and refresher
trainings to ensure that they carry out their jobs to the required standards
particularly with respect to FSQMS.

Update and Maintain Calibration certificates and coordinating with third party
team to perform yearly calibration for all the food handling, testing and
storing equipment.

Support in Preparing and updating food safety and associated quality
documents, policies and procedures related to HACCP, BRC, Halal, and other
customer and regulatory food safety standards.

Support in any other operational requirements assigned by line manager as
deemed necessary

Essential Requirements and Competencies

Graduate or equivalent Degree or Diploma on Food Safety or Microbiology
related course, with Food Hygiene Training minimum Level ‎3.

Able to demonstrate knowledge of food safety and quality management systems.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Proficient in the use of computer, especially MS Office and ERP experience

Highly motivated to achieve targets and deadlines.

Understanding of key performance indicators.

Ability to work within a cross functional team.

Dynamic approach with excellent organizational skills and ability to work
within time frame.

Self-responsible and team player.

Willing and able to learn.

Minimum ‎3 years; food manufacturing related background.

Minimum ‎3 years; experience in Food Safety role, preferably in a GFSI
benchmarked certified company
