IT Service Desk-Team Leader

Summary:


The IT Support Team Leader coordinates and delegates the responsibilities of
IT teams, and oversees the day-to-day functions of the department and
complaints received by end-users. The team leader's function is to also ensure
the team is well trained and organized to handle the assigned activities and
maintain the agreed service levels and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Main Tasks:


Leads and Supervises the support team and their daily activities and tasks.
Designs and implements the department's policies and procedures.
Aligns of business expectations and IT service delivery, ensuring an efficient
and effective service delivery based on global and regional standards.
Assigns daily jobs and check lists to IT Staff, train them on all needed
theoretical and practical procedures, troubleshooting and support within
standards.
Documenting, archiving all correspondence and trouble shooting.
Corresponds with suppliers for any Software/ Hardware conflicts.
Follow up all complaints that are being escalated to ensure proper resolution.
Develops and adapts any ideas that bring IT services to higher level.
Develops procedures and practices to recover any gaps that might face IT
Department
Manages and contributes in IT projects as needed.
Takes responsibility for meeting individual performance targets as agreed with
Line Manager.
Communicates effectively within the team, with other teams, and across the
organization as a whole.
Develops own knowledge of the organization's work, in order to respond
knowledgeably to enquiries from colleagues, stakeholders and the public.
Reports on such performance, management and operational information as
requested by the IT Manager.
Any other duties as reasonably instructed by the post-holder's manager,
consistent with the grade for the placement.
Minimum Requirements:



  • University degree in computer science or other relevant discipline

  • ‎5+ years in similar role and hands-on technical experience

  • ITIL, A+, CCNA, O365 are preferable

  • Strong IT background and hands-on experience in:

  • Microsoft Products (Servers management, Applications)

  • Microsoft Windows server (2012R2, ‎2016, ‎2019),

  • Linux, CentOS

  • Cisco (routing, switching, security)

  • HP, EMC storage

  • MS Hyper V, VM Ware Visulisation

  • MS Azure, AWS, Oracle Cloud
