MAIN OBJECTIVE OF ROLE
To manage business relationship with the internal customers at C-level and
department heads, align IT with the business strategy, understand and
translate customer needs to ensure delivery of all IT products and services to
the businesses in a timely and cost-effective manner based on defined
standards and quality criteria. The position is also responsible to Provide IT
leadership across a cross-functional set of teams consisting of Business and
System analysts, Solution Architects, Software Engineers, Application and
Business support. Scout best of breed solutions and be the enabler in
providing competitive advantage to the business by early adoption of cutting-
edge technologies.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Establishes an appropriate and cost-effective IT and application strategy (over a 3-5-year timeframe) for each business unit to support the business strategy and flydubai growth plans.
* Develops and maintains working relationships with CXOs and department heads through regular direct interactions and acts as the single point of contact for all IT related matters to the business working closely with them to agree on action plans that address any concerns in their respective areas (including resource allocation).
* Provides strategic direction to Business Alignment, Software Engineering and Support teams in defining and delivery of annual work programme, monitors and reviews key business cases for all major investments to ensure they are cost effective and resolves conflicts and work with the business portfolio stakeholders to set priorities within the portfolio.
* Ensures that service level objectives are agreed with the business for all relevant services, conducts regular service reviews and ensure performance against service level and manages business escalations related to the service levels. Ensures all critical business operations have business continuity plans.
* Provides relevant inputs on business requirements to IT Strategy & Enterprise Architecture to ensure alignment with IT Strategy in selection of technologies and design that is future proof and fit for purpose, provides competitive advantage, and delivers business value
* Assumes responsibility for IT deliveries to the business, ensuring the progress of all key projects meet customer satisfaction by monitoring their milestones, cost, key risks and being actively involved in decision making through project steering groups and promptly resolve any issues escalated during projects.
* Provides IT leadership and make informed build verses buy decisions, source best of breed solutions aligned with IT strategy of mobile first, cloud first and digital first and negotiates SLAs and service credits with the vendors, conduct regular service review and escalate at CXO levels on service degradation.
* Promotes business synergies and drive a proactive culture of innovation, along with detailed business knowledge and understanding the direction of the business and the industry as well as the evolution of technology.
* Drives service improvement programmes that bring in cost efficiencies and reduce time to market. identify technology improvement, optimisation, and replacement initiatives, implement and drives effective resource management to optimise resource utilization and cost.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE/ KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS
Minimum Education Level Required
* University Degree
* Master's degree in Engineering or MBA is preferred
* Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
Experience Specific Requirements
* Preferred No. of Years (with Relevant Degree) - 12
Systems, Licensing, Language or Certification Requirements
* Airline Industry knowledge and awareness of emerging technologies

ISR Requirements
Reads and complies with the ISR policies of the Company and diligently reports
any weakness or incidents to the respective Line Manager or the Information
