Responsibilities
1. Perform routine microbiological testing in compliance with the
predetermined micro sampling plan to support finished product release and
validation and to ensure safe operations, compliance with environmental laws,
and conformance to PI standards and good manufacturing practices "GMP's".
2. Use microbiological instrumentation such as laminar flow cabinet, micro
samples filtration instrument, pH meter, autoclave, incubators, magnetic
heaters, etc. to preform microbiological analysis.
3. Use packaging materials inspection instrumentation such as burst tester,
secure seal tester, micrometer, boucle's, etc. to perform compliance analysis
to all packaging and raw materials received by the plant.
4. Perform packaging/raw materials SAP inspection.
5. Perform instrument calibration and follow up on preventive maintenance
program.
6. Maintain micro data archives and micro samples
7. Logging and tracking of microbiological samples
8. Document/review microbiological laboratory work using laboratory
worksheets in compliance with GLP requirements.
9. Implement HSE policies & procedures in his/her Department by managing the
EHS standards according standards owner matrix, follow up on the department
targets Training hours, Near Miss, LTIRs and RIR
10.Maintain strictest standards of hygiene in laboratory area.
11.Lead the corrective/preventive action plans regarding out of specs
microbiological samples
12.Report out of specs packaging/raw materials and follow up on corrective
actions with the central technical packaging department.
13.Perform all Category 3 and Category 4 microbiological testing
14. Ensure compliance to PI minimum mandates regarding microbiological
requirements, packaging specs and sanitation standards
15. Supervise sanitation and deep cleaning processes in all plant's areas
16. Perform quarterly microbiology proficiency scheme analysis and report
results to Cork lab in Ireland
17. Monitor compliance to all packaging and raw materials suppliers regarding
SQA guidelines and approvals
Qualifications
Knowledge:
* Food safety and quality systems standards.
* Good command on MS package
* Knowledge of SAP application is a plus.
Education:
* BSC degree in science from recognized university.
* Prior Work Experience:
* 2 to 4 years ' experience in microbiology and receiving material, in field of food industries.
Language Proficiency:
* Very good written and spoken English.
* Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
* Ability to work under stress.
