Job Purpose

The Head of Tax is accountable for oversight and management of all tax matters
for the Enterprise. This includes acting as an advisor on all tax related
matters and engage with industry and government as required ensuring tax
compliance.

Responsibilities & Accountabilities (contd.)
Activity:
Overall responsibility of all tax related matters including due diligence,
changes to tax laws, and improvement to overall tax performance and reporting
to C-level and board members.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
* Deliver a full range of tax services in compliance with the laws and regulations within timeframe.
* Provide innovative tax planning and initiatives for the Enterprise (ENEC, NAWAH and BOC).
* Work closely with Treasury team on financing related matters and cash management.
* Manage compliance process and timely update Tax related procedures documentation of end-to-end processes.
* Overall responsible of the improvement and implementation of new tax policies by Tax authorities across the Enterprise to ensure compliance.
* Improve processes by developing or implementing best practices also manage and coordinate tax audits. (Internal & External).
* Proactively identify, monitor and manage tax risks by implement system controls.
* Prepare and provide reports and analysis on tax for management decision making.
* Create Tax awareness in Enterprise, coordinate all departments and assist with their tax related matters.
* Supervise all VAT related activities in order to timely VAT return submission to FTA.
* Manage external stakeholder relationship with UAE Tax authority for VAT and any other if required.

* Enhancement and development of reports in ERP systems to generate required reports for statutory and management reporting.

Operational Planning
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
* Provide input into the development of the Department's systems and processes, as well develop, and implement the Section's procedures, identifying opportunities for the continuous improvement of practices to increase productivity and operational efficiency.
* Monitor, control and report Operational and financial Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to the Section, to track performance and recommend corrective or mitigating actions.
* Ensure that all relative reports are prepared timely and accurately, to meet the Section's requirements and standards.

* Ensure compliance to all relevant health, safety and environmental management policies, procedures, and controls across the Section by the delivery of the Health and Safety Management Program to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high-quality services and a responsible environmental attitude.
