Job Purpose

To provide the necessary support to developing the insurance strategy and
implement to ensure that the optimum premiums and covers are being provided to
ENEC's projects and asset.

Key Activities, Responsibility & Accountability
of the corporation and its Emiratization strategy.
* Contribute to knowledge dissemination/sharing in a way that assists with building internal capabilities of UAE Nationals where applicable and maximize their effective performance.

Responsibilities & Accountabilities (contd.)
Activity:
Develop and implement Insurance Strategies
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
* Assist management to define risk tolerance and appetite and assess available covers & benchmarks prices to ensure best coverage and premium.
* Evolve covers over time to provide best value and responses to business needs and risks.

Activity:
Outsourced service provision management
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
* Assist with the management of outsourced third party service provision such as Brokers and Loss Adjusters in order to ensure satisfactory services are provided compliant with ENEC's quality standards.

Activity:
Insurance Renewal and Claims Management
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
* Ensure timely renewal of insurance policies, and notify the incidence if any to Insurers.
Manages claims (and in particular complex claims) in order to safeguard the
financial position of ENEC.

Budgets
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
* Prepare insurance costs budget and reports on costs versus budgets.

Operational Planning
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
* Provide input into the development of the Department's systems and processes, as well develop, and implement the Section's procedures, identifying opportunities for the continuous improvement of practices to increase productivity and operational efficiency.
* Monitor, control and report Operational and financial Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to the Section, to track performance and recommend corrective or mitigating actions.
* Ensure that all relative reports are prepared timely and accurately, to meet the Section's requirements and standards.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
* Ensure compliance to all relevant health, safety and environmental management policies, procedures, and controls across the Section by the delivery of the Health and Safety Management Program to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high-quality services and a responsible environmental attitude.
* Follow all relevant Security policies, processes, procedures, and instructions to ensure security compliance in all aspects of work, by applying them on self, others, and corporate assets.
* Ensure the compliance with Business Continuity and Resilience requirements for adherence to policies, procedures and instructions related to the effective planning for, and response to, incidents and/or business disruption.

* Manage the effective achievement of the Organization's objectives by setting individual targets, developing, and motivating staff, and providing formal and informal constructive feedback and appraisal - in order to maximize subordinate and Section's performance.
