Position: Commis 1 - Pastry & Bakery (Full time #529870)

Location: Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates
Responsibilities:
* The ability to follow proper payroll and uniform procedures.
* The ability to produce the day to day pastry mise en place
* The ability to work closely with standard recipes and presentations in order to maintain the consistency of our pastry products
* The ability to work neatly and cleanly, keeping work areas and walk-ins in accordance with sanitary standards
* The ability to maintain a cooperative working relationship with fellow employees.
* The ability to respond properly in any hotel emergency or safety situation.
* The ability to perform other tasks or projects as assigned by hotel management
* To maintain good working relationships with colleagues and all other departments. To carry out any other reasonable duties as assigned.
* To respond to change in the departmental function as dictated by the industry, company or hotel.
Skills & Qualifications:
* Experience: Two Years of experience on kitchen field in hotel industries.
* Education: Post graduate and / or Hotel Management School, Apprenticeship with diploma
* General Skills: Must have Basic knowledge of pastry operation, Must have full knowledge of sanitation requirements in handling food.
* Technical Skills: To ensure that kitchen operating equipments are maintained in good standards.
* Language: Required to have good English when it comes into understanding, Speaking, and Writing.
* Physical Requirements: Must be able to exert physical effort in transporting pounds, endure various physical movements throughout the work areas, reach up and down, remain stationary at times throughout work periods, and satisfactorily communicate with guests and colleagues to their understanding.
