Assistant Vice President – PMO

JOB PURPOSE

• Ensure constant monitoring of strategic projects and alignment with the corporate strategy.


• Support the successful delivery of programs undertaken by ALDAR through effective facilitation, tracking and reporting.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
*
Ensure constant monitoring of projects / programs to meet the organization
goals and requirements.
* Establish PMO stakeholder management plan and implementation of the communication framework.
* Implements and provides guidance related to PMO processes and policies.
* Establish links between department's initiatives and corporate strategy.
* Review and filter projects that are operational and strategic in nature.
* Review the proposed allocation of resources against each submitted project.
* Identify risks associated with projects, formulate mitigation plans in conjunction with the business owners.
* Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets.
* Coordinate with People and Performance on the status of approved projects in the execution phase.
* Participates in the monitoring of Projects that may consist of a variety of innovation challenges including brand-led innovation, new business creation and strategic development.
* Assist with advising managers and teams on the best use of project management disciplines and approaches.
* Act as a reference point for PMO queries and information and an advocate for best practices in project management
* Develop positive relationships with department leaders and key stakeholders to enable the PMO to provide support including facilitation, tracking and reporting on projects.

• Deviation of projects (time/cost/quality)


• Alignment of implement projects to the corporate strategy


• Updated overall project management plan at all times.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Regular working hours, office based

RELATED YEARS OF EXPERIENCE

• Min of: ‎8+ years related experience.

YOE IN MANAGERIAL POSITION

FIELD OF EXPERIENCE

• Experience in project management within a large retail asset preferably in the GCC.

TECHNICAL AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS

• Ability to liaise, influence and interact effectively with various internal divisions


• Excellent leadership and time management skills


• Strong communication and presentation skills


• Strong financial and analytical skills


• Excellent negotiation skills

Qualifications
* Bachelor Degree in Business Management or related field.
* MBA preferred, PMP certification or PRINCE.
