The finance administrator helps plan, perform, and manage a broad range of
accounting, financial, and budgetary functions. He verifies the completeness
and accuracy of financial documents and transactions, creates budget plans,
rationalizes expenditures and investments, and manages cash flow (accounts
receivable/accounts payable). Finance administrator regularly generates and
present reports to keep management and other corporate leaders updated about
the ADSM's financial health and strategies.


Responsibilities



  • Review and advise on the accuracy and up-to-date financial records prepared by the accounting team.

  • Review and validate financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, salaries, EOS, and leave salaries.

  • Review and validate suppliers and payroll payments on ERP

  • Oversee the preparation, monitoring, comparison, and analysis of ADSM departmental budgets

  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure adherence to budgetary guidelines.

  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies to maintain financial integrity

  • Generate financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.

  • Prepare financial quality reports (OP and QIAP) and any requested reports by the QARMO.

  • Provide timely and accurate financial information to support decision-making.

  • Ensure adherence to relevant accounting standards, and ADSM policies and procedures.

  • Assist in the preparation for internal and external audits.

  • Provide documentation and support during audit processes.

  • Collaborate with external and internal auditors during the annual audit process.

  • Utilize financial management software to maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.

  • Recommend improvements to financial systems and processes to enhance efficiency.

  • Stay informed about financial policies, procedures, and regulations

  • Ensure compliance with ADSM's financial policies and relevant accounting standards.

  • Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information and resolve queries.

  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and external stakeholders.

  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in finance and accounting


Skills



  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field. MBA degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA) is a plus.

  • Technical skills in accounting, financial analysis, budget planning, payroll management, and accounting software.

  • Proven at least (‎7) seven years of experience in financial management, preferably within the higher education sector.

  • In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and budgeting processes.

  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills

  • Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of meeting deadlines.
