Steward - InterContinental Abu Dhabi

We are looking for a Steward who will be responsible for supporting the food
and beverage operation by cleaning and maintaining kitchen equipment and the
premises whilst maintaining hygienic standards and practices. Promotes the
desired work culture around the five winning ways - Aim higher, Work better
together, Celebrate the difference, Do the right thing & Show we care.
Every day is different, but you'll mostly be delivering:
A little taste of your day-to-day
FINANCIAL RETURNS
* Gain understanding of the departmental goals and financial targets and support your Line Manager to achieve these targets
* Recycle where-ever possible and enforce cost saving measures where appropriate
* Prepares kitchen equipment for use.
* Assists with checking and receiving goods.
* Store goods.
OUR PEOPLE
* Comply with Hotel Rules and Regulations and provisions as contained in the Employment Handbook. Comply with the Time and Attendance Policies.
* Actively participate in training and development programs and maximize opportunities for self-development.
* Offer assistance to colleagues when required, to ensure designated work goals are met.

* Seek assistance from other team members, supervisors and managers when required

* Accurately and promptly fulfilling guest's requests.
* Anticipate guest's needs
* Maintain a high level of knowledge which affects the guest experience.
* Demonstrating a 'service' attitude.
* Taking appropriate action to resolve guest complaints.
* Appreciate the dynamic nature of the Hotel industry and extend these service attributes to all internal customers
QUALIFICATION
* High school or college graduate
* Minimum of ‎2 years experience in the same field
* Good communication skills
* Willing to work on shifting schedule
