RESPONSIBILITIES • To diagnose faults and repair/ maintain all small plant and
tools both in the workshop and on site. • Organise workload amongst the
workshop staff to cover all site calls both in and out of hours and assign
specific tasks accordingly in conjunction with the Foreman. • Prioritise
equipment returned by organising workshop staff with effective time management
to ensure availability of Top 50 tool items and core plant items. • Ensure the
workshop provides equipment that is ready for hire, complies with current
safety regulations and is to the GAP Standard. • Ensure all equipment is
checked and tagged properly • Organise and maintain an effective and efficient
'out of hours' telephone service in conjunction with the Foreman • Ensure
workshop is clean, tidy and well organised • Issue all safety bulletins to
workshop staff, record signatures and pass copies to General Manager for
personnel files. • By reporting to the Foreman on a monthly basis, have
constructive input into the progress of the depot and how it progresses •
Maintain a professional and helpful attitude, passing on your technical plant
and tool knowledge and experience to other members of staff
