We have a great opportunity for an experienced Fire & Life Safety Officer to

What will you do?

Together with the Fire Life Safety Manager, carries out “in house” testing of
the systems in accordance with the standard “Monthly Checklist”..
Supervises all specialist contractors testing of systems identified by the
Fire Life Safety Manager, in accordance with the standard “Monthly Checklist”.
Maintains all records of testing, maintenance and remedial work for all Life
Safety Equipment & Systems including Vertical Transportation.
Promotes safety awareness for all hotel employees together with Fire Life
Safety Manager.
Assists Fire Life Safety Manager to ensure training of the “Emergency Response
Team” is to a high standard and includes “hands on” use of all relevant fire
fighting equipment.
Participates in the training and Fire Drills conducted by Abu Dhabi Civil
Defense Department.
Assists Fire Life Safety Manager to carry out fire drills in accordance with
our guidelines and recommends methods for improving performance & responses.
Maintains records of all training, fire drill tests, and recommendations for
improvement.
Initial detailed familiarization of fire & smoke compartmentation requirements
in the hotel.
Subsequent supervision & monitoring of any breaches in these equipments and
reports to Fire Life Safety Manager.
Reports to Fire Life Safety Manager when ‘breaches’ in requirement are
observed.
Monitoring and reporting on corrective measures.
Ensuring that all life safety signage, be it illuminated or otherwise, is
correctly maintained.
Ensures that appropriate fire doors are “unlocked” at all times. Immediately
arranges for doors to be unlocked and files a report on the incident.
