Job Description
Responsible for measuring and communicating performance through the design of
comprehensive analytics projects. The person in this role will provide
proactive, timely insights to support program, channel, and audience
strategies to guide business stakeholders in understanding impact, risks and
opportunities.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
1. Responsible for providing key quantitative and qualitative studies of
fundraising activities necessary to inform and support strategic decisions.
Demonstrate advanced understanding of business strategies and data through
creation of simple yet powerful stories with actionable insights.
2. Provides insights into current and future performance trends through
comprehensive analytical projects and facilitation of performance discussions
with strategy stakeholders.
3. Collaborate with strategy stakeholders, campaign architects, and data
scientists to translate business questions into flexible tools and dashboards.
4. Translate business needs and results into a useful, visual package to
identify patterns and trends. Effectively derive analytical insights from a
variety of business contexts and communicate those effectively through a range
of creative and intuitive visualizations.
5. Leverage advanced understanding of functional area strategies and data to
enhance or develop self-service tools such as forecasting tools or dashboards
within area of expertise.
6. Drive the crafting of data infrastructure and integrity necessary to
support meaningful donor and prospect experiences through active participation
in Data Stewards community.
7. Drive continual learning of Development Analytics team through mentorship
and training by sharing subject matter expertise through training sessions.
Identify opportunities to partner on analytical projects with peers to provide
broader understanding of short- and long-term impact of Development
strategies.
8. Possesses and utilizes strong communications skills to share analytical
insights across business partners to inform functional area strategy.
9. Represents ALSAC-St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital in such a manner
as to reflect positively on the hospital and our fundraising organization.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS
1. Perform other various job functions associated agile operational
excellence as assigned.
2. Perform job duties as assigned as part of ALSAC's Business Continuity
Management Program, including annual maintenance and testing of business
continuity, disaster recovery and emergency response plans.
Knowledge - Mature experience with Microsoft tools Excel, Access, and
PowerPoint. Intermediate SQL coding experience. Mature experience with data
prep and transformation tools like Tableau Prep, Alteryx, etc. Mature
experience developing dashboard visualizations through tools like Tableau,
Power BI, Looker, SAP, etc. Speak and write in a clear and understandable
manner for internal/external relations. Understand complex verbal or written
instructions. Knowledge ordinarily acquired through a bachelor's degree or 3
years of experience.
