Job Description
Conducts prospect research on individuals, corporations, foundations, and
organizations to support enterprise requests. Supports the enterprise lead
pipeline by partnering with Senior Liaisons to identify, qualify, and assign
leads and also supports enterprise portfolios by evaluating screening data and
conducting research to assess prospect's affinity, capacity, and propensity
along with potential controversy to ensure protection of the ALSAC brand.
Liaises with the Executive Office to maintain, update, and distribute ALSAC
committee lists and serves as a resident expert to the Prospect Development
team on such lists.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
1. Conducts prospect research on individuals, corporations, foundations,
celebrities, and organizations by utilizing various prospect development tools
and databases.
2. Partners with Senior Liaisons to support territory strategies by providing
prospect research, internal/external prospecting, and support for leads and
moves management meetings.
3. Partners with Senior Liaisons to identify, qualify, and assign leads.
Provides prospect research to assess prospect's affinity, capacity, and
propensity in support of cultivation and solicitation strategies and performs
contact lookups to support cultivation efforts.
4. Liaises with the Executive Office to maintain, update and distribute ALSAC
committee lists and serves as a resident expert to the Prospect Development
team on such lists.
5. Represents ALSAC-St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital in all areas in
such a manner as to reflect positively on the hospital and our fund-raising
organization.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS
1. Performs other various job functions as assigned.
2. Performs job duties as assigned as part of ALSAC's Business Continuity
Management Program, including annual maintenance and testing of business
continuity, disaster recovery and emergency response plans.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
* Understanding of prospect development best practices
* Knowledge of database software for prospect research financial analysis for wealth assessments and report writing tools
* Understanding of business terminology and IRS Form 990s, SEC filings, and legal documents such as wills and charitable trusts
* Able to provide financial analysis using insider stock holdings, property holdings, and probate documents
* Strong writing skills essential and comfort with ambiguity
* High School Diploma and/or 3 years of experience
