Logistic Information System (LIS) Trainer (Supply Chain SME)

Job Summary:
Amentum has an opening for a Logistics Information (LIS) Trainer- Supply Chain
SME in Kuwait.

Provide consultative and technical knowledge, expertise, and training of
Supply and Property Book Management in support of APS-‎5 readiness.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
* Provide GCSS-Army (GCSS-A) supply training courses that includes but not limited to inventory, property book actions, parts tracking & Unit Readiness Reporting
* Provide subject matter expertise in all logistics areas to perform supply chain functions, evaluation and training up to the Brigade (BDE) level. These areas will include supply operations at the Unit level; supply management practices and procedures; equipment records management; equipment storage; and GCSS-A applications associated with each of these areas.
* Work closely with Supply Management to perform a variety of highly complex analytical planning, development, testing, and evaluation of maintenance operations.
* Work closely with Supply Management to devise and implement strategies for solving operational issues to increase production/performance.
* Onsite (over-the-shoulder) assistance shall include one-on-one staff training, section collective training, or department directed training. Onsite assistance will include, but not limited to: Developing and monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPI) to drive improvements on the accuracy, working capital, and service level analyzing and mitigating risks; managing and optimizing network inventory including analysis of excess, slow-moving and obsolete inventory. Defining metrics for forecast accuracy, SOP performance, customer service level, and inventory optimization.

Minimum Requirements:
Education:
* High school diploma required
* Bachelor's degree highly preferred

Experience:
* ‎4 years supervisory leadership experience
* ‎5 years GCSS-Army experience (Subject Matter Expert - Supply/PBO)
* ‎10 years of job-related experience required
* Subject Matter Level (SME) experience at the Brigade/equivalent level with Army Logistics systems (GCSS-A, LIW, MMIS, TIMS, AESIP) as a Combat Service Support Automation Management Officer (CSSAMO) or equivalent
* GCSS-Army Certification required

Specialized Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
* Ability to train, coach, and evaluate knowledge and skills.
* Must have knowledge base that is recognized as Expert Level in area of training USG STAMIS system(s).
* Requires the ability to operate application software including but not limited to word-processing, spreadsheet, and PowerPoint programs.
* Strong customer presence - excellent communication (written and oral), presentation, and interpersonal skills required.
* Position may require travel.

Certification, License & Clearance:
* U.S. Citizenship required.
* Secret Clearance is required

Work Environment, Physical Demands & Mental Demands:
* Ability to perform job duties efficiently and effectively.
* Must be able to work in extreme environmental conditions including dust and high temperatures.
* Must be able to endure long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions.
* Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
Preferred Qualifications:
Staff experience as a primary staff officer, primary staff directorate NCOIC,
or a primary staff directorate warrant officer highly preferred.

Previous experience as GCSS-Army training/trainer preferred

Knowledge of AESIP & DST preferred
