Job Description
Automation & Electrification Projects Management, Supporting Rockwell
Automation Customers in different industry verticals, Serves as liaison
between the company and the client during a project ending with the
installation and acceptance of capitalized equipment, enterprise software
systems, or system integration or consulting projects/engagements. May work at
client site on a day-to-day or periodic basis. Ensures customer satisfaction
of information technology solutions by managing the details of overall project
schedules, budgets, and deliverables. Typically uses more project management
skills than technical skills. Services may be provided on a fee-for-service
basis or be included as part of the purchase price for company products.
Usually involves extensive interaction with sales, systems engineering,
product development, and other members of cross-functional teams focused on
the delivery of new or existing products to clients. Plans and directs
schedules and may monitor budget/spending. Monitors the project from
initiation through delivery. Organizes the interdepartmental activities
ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget
constraints.
Roles and Responsibility:
* Responsibility for a project Commercially. Work closely with the Management team and Head of Projects on all commercial and contractual aspects for their allocated projects.
* Responsibility for a project Technically. Work closely with the Engineering Team and Management Team to ensure that the solution provided is of minimum cost whilst being technically acceptable and in accordance with the client specifications and the company bid.
* Responsibility for Maintaining an ongoing healthy and constructive relationships with the Customers and the Suppliers
Primary Objectives:
* Achieve overall project budgetary requirements
* Overall responsibility for complete technical delivery of nominated projects -Overall technical and team management for nominated projects
* Maximize opportunities within allocated projects (variations, savings)
* Maximize business development opportunities with existing customers
* Manage the customer and supplier
* Ensure all contractual obligations are met
* Manage Company Resource with other Project Managers and Head of Projects.
Role Functions:
Functions will typically include but not be limited to the following:
Opportunity Management:
Be fair and justly manages variation opportunities and commercially manage
contract variations
Commercial Management:
Achieve and better overall project budgetary requirements. Manage procurement
and invoicing to ensure a favorable cash flow for the company for financial
maintenance.
Technical Management:
Strong ERP skills to ensure understanding of internal processes (compliance,
quality, order booking etc.)
Be responsible in all aspects for the Delivery of the Project.
Customer Management:
Be the prime customer contact for Technical and Commercial issues and ensure
that the customer is both kept informed and under control by always
maintaining a pro-active approach
Sub-contract management:
Develop commercial specifications for sub-contract works; and development of
technical specifications for sub-contracted works and the management of the
works such that the requisite delivery timescales and quality standards are
achieved.
Risk Management:
Work closely with the Management Team to identify risks, consequences, and
mitigating actions in order to remove risks as quickly as possible (Liquidated
Damages, tight delivery periods, etc.)
Internal Reporting - Production of Monthly Production Reports to the Head of
Projects
Planning - In conjunction with the Management Team identify the obligations,
both in terms of activities and timescales, of all parties - client, Company
project staff, Company on-project staff & sub-contractors involved in the
delivery of the project.
Scope Management:
Ensure that no additional element of scope is engineered unless there is a
commercial benefit to the Company either in the form of savings or an increase
in overall order value.
Team Management:
Ensure that team members are provided with the requisite task definitions,
information and tools to perform the allocated tasks.
Quality Management:
Define and manage the quality objectives for the project, ensuring that they
are appropriate to the client and project. - Sales - Report sales and business
development opportunities for the sales department to follow-up
Resource Management:
Manage company resource with assistance with the Management Team and Head of
Projects to ensure all engineers are always utilized productively, and
customer demands are met.
Health and Safety:
This is of paramount importance to the business. Personal Safety is the number
one objective. Leadership is essential. Ensure that you work closely with the
Health and Safety Team and ensure all projects and personnel are operating
fully in accordance with the Company Health and Safety processes and
procedures.
Requirements:
* Fluent Arabic Speaking, Reading, and Writing
* Fully conversant in all aspects of Automation, Control & Electrification
* Experienced across a variety of PLC, SCADA, and Drive Systems (Minimum of ‎5 years).
* Strong Project Management and Planning Skills.
* Commercial and Contractual Knowledge for Project Management.
* Prior experience of Managing projects with a varied complexity
* ‎3 Years + experience Project Management Level.
* Previous experience working with or for OEMs would be highly advantageous.
* Candidates will also be ideally qualified to Degree or should be able to engage the customer and coordinate with project resources.
