The Role
Introduction & Job description
Compressor Technique Business Area wants to be a leading provider of
Engineered Compressed Gas Systems into Oil & Gas, (Petro-) Chemical Industry
as well as other industries which needs Engineered Solutions.
For that purpose and activity Atlas Copco has created a focussed team in
Middle East covering UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman, KSA, Kuwait and IRAQ. The
current position will be based in Dammam - KSA to support our customers in KSA
and Kuwait.
Support the Customer Centre in submitting techno commercial offer, supporting
the sales process with right inputs and also leads during the execution of
projects from Atlas Copco Systems worldwide locations by supporting the
Project Engineer.
All iC³ requests for complex jobs (basket 4) generated from the region will be
centralized on you, and your mission will be to coordinate with the different
Product Companies (PC) to prepare a competitive and correct technical offer,
being prepared to support the Customer Center (CC) in that region in meetings
with end Customers defending those proposals assuring the success of our
business."
This position will report to the Regional Business Line Manager - Energy &
Petrochemical for Middle East region.
In this role you will:

Working with Atlas Copco Engineering teams to develop the best possible
technical solutions to meet the customer requirements in a commercially
competitive environment.
* Being responsible for the timely creation of quotes for non-standard products ( IAT & OFA) , at the request of Customers, in accordance with the applicable QA procedures and in which a correctly described and clearly outlined content is offered, which can be delivered within a realistic period and at the stated profit margins.
* independently assessing the feasibility of a project in all its facets and translate specific customer needs into our product portfolio that you gradually get to know and expand.
* Making a cost / benefit analysis, based on the material cost and engineering hourly cost of the requested on the one hand, and the price levels and delivery times that apply on the market. You clearly distinguish between the "cost" and "value" of an option
* Reviewing project specifications and preparing technical and commercial quotations to meet customer requirements.
* Collaborating with Atlas Copco Sales and Engineering teams during the bidding process to develop the quotation and to be a key player in winning business.
* Providing knowledge and guidance to the Atlas Copco sales team during face-to-face meetings with customers.
* Supporting the Project Engineer after transferring a project where necessary and processing technical and financial feedback in further quotations.
* Engaging in business improvement projects. Analyses existing business methods and work closely with the engineering teams to improve product and business efficiency.
* Take responsibility for Consolidated Gross Profit (CGP%) and proposal hit rate.
Mission
* To lead the process of offering, supporting the selling and supplying engineered compressed gas systems in compliance with customer and application requirements, making deviations and comments where required.
* To support Sales Team selling to the Oil & Gas, (Petro) Chemical Industry and other segments.
* To ensure project proposals offered meet customer requirements while realising a maximum consolidated profitability.
* Support Sales activities where required in getting approvals for products and solutions offered.
* Coordinate with Factory team in getting proposals from sub vendors based in KSA to support IKTVA.

What we expect of you?
Experience requirements
* 2-3 years ' experience in a proposal support role or equivalent.
* Direct experience with oil & gas industry and its customers is preferred
* Experience with API standards and specifications an advantage.
* Experience in dealing with engineering consultants and Complex Specifications.
* Experience reading/interpreting mechanical/electrical CAD drawings.
* Strong technical and commercial knowledge of engineered Air / gas compression systems and Installations.
* Able to work within a time frame set by the customer.
* Able to plan and organize effectively and set priorities.
Knowledge & Competence
* Good command (verbal and written) of English.
* Command of other languages is an advantage.
* Solid understanding and mature user of MS Office.
* Use of Auto CAD will be an advantage.
* Good presentation skills.
* Strong technical and commercial knowledge of engineered gas compression systems.

* University degree - technically oriented or similar through experience
