The Logistics Supervisor reports to the Supply Chain Manager.
Responsibilities & Requirements:
* To ensure that requested materials being collected and freighted on time.
* Daily following up with the forwarders.
* Assure that the tracking sheet is updated on daily basis and presented daily in the accountability with updated data.
* Choose the forwarder on base of fewer prices to achieve logistics savings and report any saving done to SCM.
* Reporting the shipments upon delivery.
* Report any issue regards to the shipment to the requester.
* Insuring customs cleared clearance to be cleared on time.
* Assure all shipments movements, customs clearing and transportation 100% compliant.
* Support OE , AM teams to achieve the targets to make our numbers.
* Support finance in any issue related to freight payments or customs.
* Solving the issues related to customs by coordinating with the JV or the local officials (Police, civil defense, …etc)
* To develop process with BU's to ensure 100% documentation compliance for all imported materials.
* Assure receiving of the documents before the shipment arrives to the port or the airport.
Preferred Experience / Skills: Minimum of a Bachelor 's Degree or
equivalent in supply chain
* Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Ability to present solutions clearly and concisely to communicate requirements and constraints.
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
* Minimum logistics experience.
* Good knowledge of Saudi customs regulations.
