FETA Program provides an opportunity for very hardworking women to develop
engineering and technical expertise, while learning from and networking with
leaders and professionals throughout our organization. The most meaningful
characteristic is to arrive with the desire to learn so you can build skills
for your personal skills ' toolbox.
FETA is specifically crafted as a ‎2-‎3 year rotational program where you'll
receive both the hands-on and soft-skills training that will help you advance
your career at Air Products. Through the rotations you will develop your
engineering and professional skills as well as get a better understanding of
your interests and strengths. The rotations will be in different engineering
and/or technical areas, and different company locations.
Potential areas for engineers can include but are not limited to, engineering,
project management, project controls, construction, and supply chain. At least
one of the three assignments will be based in a plant location
POSITION SUMMARY

The Proposal Engineer's principal accountability is to support the HRS Manager
in the development of Proposals. Tasks include the proper plant selection,
scoping and estimating of technical solutions required to win new business.
Opportunities are based on the Hydrogen refueling Stations Standard Product
Line offerings, ranging from demonstration to heavy duty stations. Projects
handled by HRS Engineering Team can range in value from $2MM to $10MM+.
This position will provide the candidate with an opportunity to work closely
with customers and requires interface with numerous internal organizations
including Commercial, Logistics, Product Management, Customer Service, and
Operations.

III, NATURE AND SCOPE

Projects are a combination of engineer-to-order systems to meet the hydrogen
needs of our customers as well as product-based systems to provide low-cost
solutions for various applications. A particular focus is the deployment of
hydrogen infrastructure for fuel cell powered vehicles.

The successful candidate will provide technical bid support to the commercial
team. This challenging position offers an excellent opportunity for career
development and practical engineering and project management experience.

V. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

This position is accountable for the following end results:

Estimating: Development of cost estimates for Technical Solutions along
with options screening to arrive at a winning value proposition. Estimates can
range in accuracy from screening to budget to firm.
Scoping: Ability to scope a project and identify the major capital and
operation breakdown
Risk Analysis: Ability to identify estimate risks, assess and quantify the
impact and reflect any risk within the estimate
Leadership : Lead the bid process by organizing, conducting, and
documenting bid evaluations. Prioritize and direct the input of various
technical functions to develop proposals within typically challenging
deadlines. Delivering and presenting technical solutions to commercial leads
and senior management for decision making.

Scope: Unearth all relevant scope definition to develop an opportunity
Basis of Design and value improve to find the best technical /economic
solution. Work directly with customers and partners to develop proposal scope
and responsibility matrix.

Execution Support: Support the execution team in executing according to
the defined proposal basis.

In this role the candidate will develop the ability to influence others, gain
exposure to a multitude of technical disciplines, lead meetings and give
presentations to internal and external customers. The candidate will gain wide
exposure to the Air Products Organization and have a direct impact on the
company 's business performance.

V. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

The candidate requires cross-functional engineering experience with a basic
knowledge of project development and project engineering. Strong technical
skills and an interest to apply them are critical to the position.

Basic requirements include:

Bachelor 's degree in Engineering or equivalent
* Engineering degree from recognized university, preferably in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
* Excellent customer management skills
* ‎5+ years Engineering experience including and/or ‎3 +years' experience on proposals
* Strong computer skills
* Demonstrated Project management skills
* Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
* Self-directed, self-motivated, able to work independently
* Ability to travel to customer sites in the within the Middle East
