Summary
Sara Village School (SVS) accepts pupils from Reception to Year 6 (4 – 11
years). The school is a member of the International Schools Group of Saudi
Arabia and follows the National Curriculum of England and Wales.
The Librarian is responsible for running the school library and teaching
library skills to the children.
Applicants for this position must currently reside within Sara Village
Compound.
Job Duties
The successful candidate will be able to effectively:
* Demonstrate commitment to the safety and security of children and young people (child protection)
* Deliver library lessons in accordance with the goals and objectives of a clearly-defined and documented curriculum for students
* Organise and maintain the library
* Maintain library supplies, materials and equipment
* Demonstrate creativity
* Maintain a safe learning environment for students at all times
* Observe, monitor and record student progress
* Respond appropriately to the range of individual needs and abilities within the class
* Be fluent in English, oral and written
* Perform other duties as assigned by the Headteacher
Qualifications and Knowledge
The ideal candidate will have:
* Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study
* Certification as a teacher
