AU is seeking a dynamic and highly motivated candidate to join its growing
team in the Teaching and Learning Center at the level of Officer. The
successful candidate will be responsible for providing quality administrative
support to the Manager, ensuring confidentiality.
Job Responsibilities (includes but not limited to) :
* Reports generations and capability of asking for accurate data from IT and having an eye on whether data is missing or not (excellent use of MS windows especially Excel).
* Audits, interprets, and uses complex data to help develop charts and trends.
* Helps in subject-related research to develop training material for faculty (excellent writing skills) - Powerpoint advanced skills is highly recommended.
* Helps in researching articles related to teaching & learning pedagogies and have an eye on what's important and what's not - critical thinking.
* Keeping track of revenues and costs for the annual big event (TLC conference) - good numerical skills.
* Assist in academic professional development activities; and research development of policies and procedures.
* Contribute to the development and maintenance of Teaching and Learning Portal Page.
* Support the Line Manager to organize the Teaching Excellence Award event and all relevant work activities.
* Excellent organizing skills and event management basic capabilities.
* Dealing with other departments effectively (office of VPAC, Finance, PR, purchasing, student life and specifically IT) - great excellent communication skills.
* Create meeting agenda and document meeting minutes.
* Prepares routine and non-routine correspondence such as memos, letters, emails and other correspondence as required.
* Maintain policies and procedures status log. Follow-up emails on status of policies and procedures.
