Responsibilities
Reporting to the Global Procurement Sr. Director, Frito Lay Agriculture and
Commodities, the Director is responsible for the national potato supply
sourcing, spend management and forecasting activities for the entire potato
category. Â Â The role balances the overall potato supply/demand forecast and
manages the financial implications on the business plan and foresting
process. They lead the teams responsible for productivity development and
reporting, own the potato flake and starch category procurement
responsibilities, and manage the Quality and Reporting function. This position
will support the entire Frito Lay North America sector, covering 2 countries
(US and Canada), with support provided for export volume to Mexico.
Key Accountabilities:
* Spend management and forecasting for over $700MM of potato category spend annually
* Direct purchase responsibility and negotiations for over $65MM of potato flake annually and $3MM of potato starch and $10MM of potato byproduct sales
* Productivity strategy development, tracking and management of over $18MM per year
* Managing the team responsible for executing the complex supply network and deployment for over 200 unique origin/destination pair combinations shipping 80,000 truckloads per year
* Develop and drive the long term sourcing strategy, ensuring potato supply continuity and creating productivity pipeline strategies
* Lead budget development and G&A management
* Lead team of 8 employees
* Cross-functional engagement with R&D, Finance, Brand Marketing and Sales
* Responsible for annual operating plan process and period forecasting
Qualifications
*
Bachelor a€™s Degree in Agriculture, Engineering, Business Administration,
Supply Chain, or similar field
* Mastera€™s Degree Preferred
* Prior people leadership experience preferred
* Must have experience in agriculture or ag related degree
* 10+ years of procurement and strategic sourcing experience to include supplier relationships and performance management
* Proven self-starter with strong collaboration and influence management skills
* Excellent oral and written communications
