In this role, you will:
To effectively supervise operational matters of HSBC Securities Service (HSS)
business as required in GHSS, HSS FIM, DIB and ASP HSS Operating Memorandum.
Assist HSS Manager to achieve business targets and maximize profits. Be seen
as a leader in driving change in the market, improve service delivery and
assist in expanding HSS Kuwait market share. Identify opportunities for
innovation based on client feedback and ensure that we remain their preferred
choice of custodian. Assist HSS Manager in maintaining excellent relationships
with regulators and drive change in the market in line with client demands and
international best practice. Keep abreast of market developments and maintain
excellent relationships with all market participants i.e. brokers, stock
exchange, depositories, and regulators
* Ensure full client satisfaction and achievement of agreed service standards
* Proactively act to improve services on client feedback on services and products
* Contribute towards improvement of productivity
* To implement efficient internal processes
* To contribute to the Banks' Performance Culture
* Think joined up, think regional and offer full support and cooperation to the regional team to provide enhanced operational service to the client
* Assist in representing the bank/clients in the community for functions and seminars
* To promote electronic links with customers via HSBCnet and with market via leased line.
* Audit, risk management and compliance conformity
* Contribute towards improvement of productivity; to improve operational efficiency by implementing solutions from our regional and global network
* Maintain HSBC Information Security Risk Standards and Controls, including the timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators. Measure: All staff to undertake all mandatory online Information Security Risk (ISR) training so as to be aware of the ISR management framework.
* Read the Operational Risk FIM. Ensure relevant controls in all ISR areas are implemented as stipulated in the Operations FIM and all actions communicated by the BIRO's and DBIRO's are carried out. All ISR exceptions
Requirements
To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:
Knowledge / Experience
* Bachelor's Degree
* Market knowledge and experience is one of the major offerings to the Global clients so the ability to research and locate information on the market is an important skill.
* Ability to listen and understand the expectations/communication of the customer and market participants and to provide customer focused solutions. Through work experience, on the job training, and studies.
* The ability to communicate effectively is crucial for this role and is acquired and evident from experiences obtained above.
* Ability to lead a team including off shore team for deliver high level of service to the client.
* Good communication skills both written and verbal - especially writing skills.
* Through on the Job training for ‎2 - ‎3 years.
* A thorough knowledge of HSS function through ‎4 or more years of work experience and by attending appropriate training programs.
* Ability to protect the client from any claim on the market.
* The Jobholder should have Banking experience for ‎5-‎6 years
