Your day to day**

As* Chief Accountant , you will* *be*
*directly* *reporting* *to* *the* *Finance*
*Manager supporting daily finance operations with but limited to
coordination of payroll management, employee engagement, internal/external
audit, receivables, payables, cost control and balance sheet.*

**

Your day to day

• To perform all duties as assigned by the Finance Manager and be able to carry out the function of the department during his/her absence.


• Controls all balance sheet accounts by preparation of monthly account reconciliations and actions accordingly.


• Specifically reviews the accounts payable balance to ensure accuracy and proposes action and follow up to be taken to ensure a clear balance.


• Analyze and investigate cashiers' overs and shorts


• Code and input manual cheques


• Investigate and input bank statement data.


• Review accounts payable monthly inventory reconciliations


• Review accounts payable purchase journal


• Review and prepare input in the general ledger from various sources


• Review food and beverage control reconciliations and journal


• Review accounts payable/ inventory interface


• Prepare month end journals.


• Prepare balance sheet record and identify and reconcile all items therein.


• Audit payroll


• Prepares all journal vouchers for month-end closing


• Prepares monthly Financial Statements for distribution to Department Heads and Executives, as directed by the Finance Manager


• Approves various city ledger transactions before posting


• Prepares asset purchase/disposal report


• Approves payment requests, employee advances and petty cash prior to payment


• Assists in budget preparation and input, forecast reports and monthly reports


• Supervises Accounts department in the absence of the Finance Manager


• Reports directly to and communicates with the Finance Manager on all matters pertaining to accounting and financial controls


• Cooperates, coordinates and communicates with other departments in matters concerning accounting related matters and internal control

What we need from you
* Bachelor's degree / higher education qualification / equivalent in Accounting and Finance
* ‎2-‎3 years' experience in hotel, having pre-opening experience will be an advantage.
* Knowledge of accounting management duties; processing payroll; performing asset management duties; providing business projections, displacement analysis, etc
* Professional accounting or finance designation or certification preferred.
