Mechanical Engineer Advisor joining our team to apply research to the
planning, design, development, and testing of mechanical and/or
electromechanical systems, instruments, controls, engines, and/or machines.

HOW A MECHANICAL ENGINEER ADVISOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
* Applies research to the planning, design, development, and testing of mechanical and/or electromechanical systems, instruments, controls, engines, and/or machines
* Analyzes customer requirements and develops technical solutions to a wide range of difficult mechanical engineering problems.
* Provides advanced diagnostic solutions by measuring, maintaining, and modifying mechanical systems, devices, and engines to ensure optimal performance.
* Collaborate with multiple functional departments and product suppliers.
* Develops advanced testing processes and performs testing and validation of new and existing designs/systems.
* Maintains current knowledge of relevant mechanical engineering as assigned.
* Provides guidance and leadership to less-experienced mechanical engineering personnel.
WHAT YOU 'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
* Education: BS or equivalent Military/Technical Experience. One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education.
* Required Experience: ‎3 to ‎8 years of related experience in industrial or commercial field service, maintenance, overhauling of diesel engine, diesel generators, mechanical/electrical systems, HVACs, and hydraulic equipment.
* Required Technical Skills: Demonstrated experience performing Gasoline/Diesel Engine rebuild and Dynameter testing of rebuilt engines.
* Security Clearance Level: SECRET
* Required Skills and Abilities: Excellent communication and problem solving skills, able to take direction and take the lead
* This position can require the conduct of work in the outdoors with a potential exposure to extreme climatic conditions including frequent dust storms, and high temperatures - up to 130F degrees in the summer months.
* US Citizenship Required
* Ability to pass medical screening required to deploy.
