CESVI is an Italian NGO working for global solidarity. CESVI operates
worldwide to support the most vulnerable populations in promoting human rights
and achieving their ambitions, for sustainable development.
CESVI has been working in Iraq since ‎2018, focusing in the sectors of
livelihoods, multi-purpose cash transfer, agriculture, and food security. More
recently, CESVI has started a new program in the protection sector, in
particular GBV.
The GBV Coordinator in Dohuk works under the supervision of the Project
Manager and is the main responsible for the correct and timely implementation
of the daily activities foreseen under the Project Result ‎1 in Dohuk
Governorate. The Coordinator ensures the correct supervision of the community
mobilizers and work in collaboration with the SGBV specialist and the mobile
team.
Brief project profile:
The project Strengthening community response and protection services for
survivors women and girls in Duhok and Halabja Governorates
promotes access
to quality integrated protection services, at the same time strengthening the
community network of civil society organizations engaged in gender-based
violence response, with the ultimate goal of strengthening the resilience of
vulnerable women and girls.
The target area of the above-mentioned project in the Duhok and Halabja
Governorates, in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.
With reference to the project activities, the Coordinator in Dohuk is
responsible for:
‎1. Perform a GBV public and private service providers mapping in the Governorate;
‎2. Attend round tables organized at the Governorate level, attended by main project partners and stakeholders;
‎3. Developing a service providers mapping database that contains useful information to promptly identify the specialized actors in other sectors (such as livelihoods, education, shelter, etc.) and follow up on the referral done;
‎4. Organizing capacity development activities;
‎5. Provide adequate support to the Project Manager in identifying the material and equipment to be purchased for DCVAW, Nawa Shelter and Sharia Centre;
‎6. Actively participate in the relevant thematic sub-clusters of Protection and GBV at the Governorate level.
MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Objective ‎1: Ensures high-quality activities implementation in line with
project work plan, budget, donors, and Cesvi guidelines

S/He:
* Prepares weekly and daily work plans in coordination with the Project Manager and ensures their implementation based on agreed Standard Operating Procedures;
* Distributes work plans to the team in Dohuk, ensuring day to day management of their tasks;
* Organize and lead the beneficiaries' selection, in the respect of the vulnerabilities criteria set by the Project Manager;
* Coordinates the CMs team in Dohuk to perform vulnerability assessment interviews. Ensure daily updates on Kobo Tool.
* Is responsible for the referral activity, including an update of the referral mapping database, selection of the specific cases to be referred, preparation and submission of inter-agency referral forms, daily follow up of the referred cases, and update of the referral follow-up database;
* Is responsible and coordinating GBV public and private service providers mapping in Dohuk;
* Organizes the capacity development training for frontline workers;
* Provides input to define the monitoring plan and implements monitoring activities under the supervision of the Project Manager;
* Contributes to reporting, and project tools developed under the supervision of the Project Manager;
* Performs any other duty assigned as needed.
OBJECTIVE ‎2: Representation and development of the Organization's presence
in the country, in line with relevant clusters recommendations

* S/He:
* Attends sectorial clusters at the Governorate level, ensuring alignment of the intervention with the national strategy in the protection and GBV sectors; shares periodical updates with the Project Manager and project staff on the occasion of the Project reviews meetings;
* Ensures coordination with relevant governmental stakeholders and main actors of the project at the Governorate level;
* Supports the Project Manager in the organization of the Donor’s monitoring visits;
* Provides inputs for new needs assessment;
* Contribute to CESVI’s strategy in the Country, in the field of Protection and GBV.
Objective ‎3: Implementation of Safeguarding policies –Adult at-risk/Child
Safeguarding/PSEA

* S/He:
* Ensures compliance with CESVI Safeguarding Policies and full implementation of safeguarding measures within his/her area of responsibility throughout the project's activities;
* Ensures the development of the project’s complaints and feedback mechanisms (PCFM) in accordance with Cesvi PCFM Guidelines;
* Ensures the development of adequate tools for communicating with children/adults at risk and communities on safeguarding risks and safeguarding concerns reporting mechanisms.Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields (sociology, psychology, law, etc)
* At least ‎2 years of experience in cooperation and development projects with international donors, preferably in emergency contexts;
* Former experience in the GBV/protection sectors;
* Strong organizational and human resource management skills;
* Strong monitoring and evaluation skills;
* Good knowledge of the MS Office package;
* Excellent knowledge of English, written and spoken;
* Knowledge of the local context, the target areas of the project, of the local culture and customs.
* Maturity in managing stressful situations and ability to work under stress;Applications must be sent by email to [email protected] ,
