* Implement education activities under direction of the Education Project Coordinator.
* Supervise and delegate responsibilities to Education Assistants. Provide technical support and feedback to them in line with program objectives.
* Develop and maintain effective filing systems, both electronic and paper.
* Update and maintain effective project and individual work plans.
* Provide support to formal schools and incentive staff in line with NRC quality standards.
* Document technical issues and challenges, and channel to the Education PC.
* Ensure accurate and ongoing monitoring, tracking and reporting of education project activities, budgets, and targets.
* Monitor and evaluate project implementation at field level, address and share challenges faced and suggest proper solutions for the challenges faced.
* Conduct regular field visits (minimum 1 day a week) to support education and PSS activities and closely follow up on project implementation.
* Monitoring and updating overall project work plan, weekly report and staff work plan.
* Contribute to formal report writing.
* Ensure proper and regular communication with provide updates to relevant local authorities such as directorate of education, camp managers, etc.
* Any other task relevant to the position as requested by line manager.Competencies
* Understanding of the circumstances, needs and challenges IDP/refugee children face
* Understanding of the role of education in meeting the needs of IDP/refugee populations
* Understanding of SPHERE and/or INEE minimum standards
* Knowledge of the basics of Child Protection and/or psychosocial support
* Experience in working with children and/or educators; DoE-level experience a plus
* Experience in training or building the capacity of others
* Candidates with a university and/or advanced degree preferred; significant experience in the field of education, PSS or child protection considered in lieu
* Solid English language skills as well as fluency in Kurdish and Arabic.
* Solid computer skills, including MS Word, Outlook and Excel
* Proven ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
* Ability to work diligently both independently and in a team setting
* Previous experience supervising teams
* Minimum 1 year experience in NGO education programming

* Contract Duration: 6 months ( with the possibility of extension)
* Duty Station: Nineveh- Iraq

* Salary: G5/S1, According to NRC’s Iraq salary scale and terms and conditions.
