The Methanol Truck Loading Coordinator oversees the safe and efficient
transfer of methanol from tankers to trucks. Responsible for coordinating
documentation and ensuring seamless truck loading processes at the Damietta
site, this role guarantees meticulous oversight and adherence to operational
standards.
Operating Loading Equipment:
* Coordinate truck loading activities by interfacing with the product surveyor and the local marketing company (EChem).
* Operate loading equipment, such as pumps, valves, loading arms, and control panels, to load methanol onto tanker trucks.
* Ensure that all equipment functions properly and meets safety standards.
Documentation:
* Maintain accurate records of all activities, including quantities loaded or unloaded, samples taken, test results, and any incidents or spills that may occur during operations. Complete all necessary paperwork and reports as required.
* Fill out all truck loading documents (soft & hard) and manage materials accessed and exited.
* Issue daily, weekly, and monthly truck loading reports.
Loading and Unloading:
* Connect hoses and pipelines to the truck's manifold and safely transfer methanol to the truck. Monitor the flow rate and pressure during the loading or unloading process.
Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
* Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and troubleshooting of loading equipment to ensure optimal performance.
* Report any equipment malfunctions or defects to the appropriate personnel for repair or replacement.
Communication:
* Effectively communicate with drivers, supervisors, and other team members to coordinate activities and ensure smooth operations.
* Promptly report any issues or concerns to management.
Responsible Care:
* Follow the General Plant Safety Procedures and be equipped with all the Personnel Protection Elements (PPE's).
* Follow safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure the safe handling of methanol. This includes wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), conducting safety inspections, and adhering to regulatory requirements.
* Ensure the system for reporting/investigation/actions is adhered to and lessons learned are followed-up for all incidents and accidents.
* Ensure business practices employed by the department conform to Corporate expectations in terms of the Code of Conduct.
* Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond to emergencies, such as spills or leaks, by following established emergency response procedures and protocols.
* Environmental Stewardship: Follow environmental policies and procedures to minimize the impact of methanol handling and loading activities on the environment. Properly dispose of waste materials and follow all applicable environmental regulations.
Education and Training:
* B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering or Science.
* Safety Training
Experience:
* Minimum 2 years of experience in a gas/petrochemical work environment within a similar role.
* Proficient working knowledge of safety protocols and procedures in the work environment
