The GAC Group is looking for candidates for the role of Quality Assurance
System Tester to be based in Dubai. Could it be you?
The function will be part of Information Management team whose mission is to
introduce a set of policies, processes, organisational changes, and
technologies to optimise and automate ways to identify, create, collect,
classify, organise, govern, secure, use, exchange, maintain, preserve, and
dispose of information in the GAC Group.
The primary goal of the role is to take a lead in planning and executing all
levels of testing applicable, including functional testing, unit testing,
integration testing, smoke testing, end-to-end testing, acceptance testing,
performance testing, sanity testing, regression testing, etc. to ensure that
GAC applications and databases in the Information Management area meet all
standards and guidelines. QA System Tester would join development projects and
teams as an advocate of data and system quality in all their assignments to
enable and support the goals & priorities set by the Digital Product Managers
(DPM).
Educational Qualification
An undergraduate or postgraduate degree in computer science, engineering. Or
similar knowledge.
Professional Qualification
* Taking initiative and ownership in planning and execution of data and system tests.
* Experience in analysing requirements and converting them to test plans.
* Experience in working in agile development environments (Kanban, Scrum).
Specialist Knowledge
* SDLC knowledge.
* Experience in various testing methodologies and frameworks.
* Experience in testing data integration (batch and/or API) would be considered a plus.
* Experience in database querying for the purpose of testing the data would be considered a plus.
* Knowledge and experience with test automation would be considered a plus.
Communication / Language
* Communicate effectively across all levels.
* Proactively communicate and escalate issues that might impact quality.
* Documentation skills.
* Cultural awareness within a multi-cultural corporate environment.
* Good English spoken language skills are essential.
Computer Aptitude
* Solid understanding of IT software development lifecycle and the role of QA in the process
* MS Office: MS Word / MS Excel / MS PowerPoint
* Specialised testing tools
Detailed Experience Levels
3+ years of experience in data and software testing.
