Position Description
Job Title: Financial Analyst
Reporting Into: Finance Manager
Direct Reports: NA
Location: Dubai, UAE
Job Objective:
Utilizing hands-on accounting experience and an in-depth understanding of
accounting principles and company practices. Perform complex accounting
activities and financial analyses.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage accountants.
* Manage tax audits and tax returns.
* Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance.
* Facilitate and complete monthly close procedures/Manage the monthly financial close process, including ensuring all costs incurred are properly recorded, reviewing journal entries, account balance reconciliations, and report preparation.
* Plan, assign, and review staff's work.
* Primary responsibility is to prepare and review financial statements and supporting schedules.
* Reviewing journal entries of junior accountants to ensure accuracy.
* Training and mentoring junior staff.
* Reconciliations including General Ledger and Balance Sheet.
* Processing of accruals, prepayments, and subsequent journals.
* Managing inter-company transactions and their reconciliation.
* Cost reporting.
* Approving journals.
* Project profitability review (PC\PR).
* Financial forecasting for the region.

Technical
Computer literate, ability to use Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel
Education and Experience:
* Must be a certified Chartered Accountant/ACCA
* At least 5 years of experience in a similar role.
* Experience up to finalization of accounts.
