To achieve this mission, we are looking for a Regional Logistics Manager to
lead logistics teams and initiatives across Middle East & Africa reporting to
the Logistics Area Director. S/he will focus on cross countries logistics
initiatives, driving performance, productivity, and quality in his/her area of
responsibility.
Responsibilities and Key Activities:
* Lead, direct, and control supply and logistics policies, procedures, and activities to maximize efficiency, reliability, timeliness, and cost-effectiveness including materials volume planning and control, inventory management, warehousing, logistics, transport, and distribution.
* Oversee the overall logistics budget; monitor the cost and effectiveness of activities to optimize resources and prioritize spending.
* Coordinate with teams across the Middle East and Africa to ensure timely, quality and cost-competitive supply.
* Identify cross-unit/cross-regional logistics partner network opportunities and risks.
* Coordinate and oversee the work of his/her subordinates and contribute to the organization's logistics strategy in an effective and consistent way and according to established guidelines and budgets
* Responsible for team competence development, satisfaction, and motivation
* Set and monitor team/individual performance objectives
Are you the one?
* ‎15+ years of relevant experience in logistics with a minimum of ‎4 years in a leadership role managing logistics teams with regional exposure across the Middle East & Africa region
* Experience with supplier and subcontractor negotiations, understanding of commercial terms and conditions related to procurement, customs clearance, shipping, ocean freight, and import of goods and services.
* Fluent level in English - Arabic & French is an added advantage
* Proven ability to work in an international environment and willingness to travel across the region as per the work requirements
* Proven leadership / cross-functional team skills
* Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems preferred
* Project Management and Process Improvement experience
* Strong communication skills - verbal and written, ability to communicate effectively to varied audiences
* Able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
