Job Purpose: The VP IT Agile Delivery & Programme Management will lead the
core delivery practices of Agile Delivery, Technical Product Managment,
Sofware Engineering, Quality Engineering and Service Management, ensuring that
they are integrated optimally to deliver for the Emirates Group businesses.
You will collaborate with other areas of IT including cybersecurity,
architecture, and infrastructure to establish, measure and refine effective
and efficient ways of working that enable the delivery of business technology
services. The VP IT will direct the planning, scheduling, and delivery of
complex, multi-portfolio initiatives; orchestrate delivery across multiple IT
business portfolios, business departments and external vendors to realise
strategic value; engage with business executives across multiple departments
to drive integrated strategic outcomes; align strategy and execution by
applying Lean and Agile principles as well as systems thinking approaches to
strategy, investment funding, portfolio operations and governance. Job
Outline: - Manage delivery of complex programs that span multiple portfolios,
implement complex technology solutions and require significant business change
across diverse stakeholder groups. Ensure the on-time and on-budget delivery
by applying best practices, managing risk and leveraging proven frameworks for
solution delivery, systems integration and change management at scale. -
Manage risks, dependencies and release plans across the portfolio of large,
complex programs. - Establish integrated planning to ensure a common cadence
of the work program, create and manage an integrated portfolio plan with
sequenced and prioritised initiatives. - Coordinate planning across Agile
Release Trains, independent Agile teams, traditional projects, solution
vendors and delivery partners through syncrhonised PI (Program Increment)
Planning. Ensure priorities and outcomes are aligned across all parties. -
Define the practices and capabilities needed for the delivery of business
technology solutions by leading the integration of practices in the core
delivery chapters of Agile Delivery, Technical Product Management, Software
Engineering, Quality Engineering and Service Management. - Manage and develop
the scaled agile competency and adapt the framework to optimally deliver
commitments. Ensure all agile ceremonies and cadences are established in order
to synchronise delivery across IT. Develop and continuously improve the
capabilities, processes, and tools for the practices. - Lead the Agile PMO to
establish lean investment and delivery governance processes, controls and
reporting. Monitor all portfolios and initiatives to proactively identify
risks, issues and address them to protect delivery commitments. - Drive
financial integrity through effective and transparent estimation, forecasting
and reporting of expenses across all business IT investments. Support the
demand shaping and estimation processes for large, complex programs as part of
roadmap and annual budget processes. - Maintain strong working relationships
with the IT Delivery & Business Enablement leadership including all VPs IT
Portfolio Delivery. Share strategic context and ensure leadership alignment to
priorities and commitment to the outcomes needed to successfully deliver the
complex initiatives. Provide practice insights to the leadership team to
improve the overall delivery performance. - Lead and develop a team of
practice (chapter) managers to create a high performance delivery leadership
function. Ensure that the the practice managers create competency roadmaps and
career progression frameworks that measure performance and develop individuals
within their respective chapters.
Qualifications & Experience: - Information Technology.Project Management : 12+
Years - Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) : Degree in an IT related
discipline Post Graduate Qualification preferred i.e. MBA with specialism in
strategy development and execution. - Experience in varied IT functions at a
senior level in a large multinational corporate company, ideally in the
travel/transportation industry. - Experience in Information Technology Project
Management or a combination of Technology and Business Program Director
experience. Knowledge/skills: - PMP or PMI Certification or other Project or
Program Management qualification - Certification in one or more Agile
frameworks and roles (e.g., Scaled Agile for Enterprises) - IT experience of
which the majority should be in a senior project or program management or
software engineering leadership role. - Ability to manage large-scale projects
and programs, or a large delivery function with significant software
engineering and systems integration scope - Ability to demonstrate strong
stakeholder management - Ability to demonstrate evidence of coaching/training
