About the Role
Info Arab Media FZ-LLC / Al Mashhad is seeking a Sound Operator to join our
existing Studio Operations Team in the Headquarter located in Dubai, UAE. The
Sound Operator will be responsible for mixing audio in live and recorded
productions for the audience.
Key Accountabilities
The selected candidate is expected to perform the following tasks:
* Responsible for setting up microphones, mixing and monitoring the quality control of audio sources for live and taped productions.
* Works closely with Directors and Producers to develop audio schemes for all current and new productions.
* Responsible for various audio assignments including news, magazine, and sports style shows.
* Ensures attention to production protocols such as faces out, crew calls, scheduling announcements, programming changes, etc.
* Supports a 24x7 facility, requires the flexibility to work various shifts, weekends, including holidays.
Qualifications & Experience
* A Bachelor's degree in Video/Film Production or related field is preferred, Professional experience in lieu of education will be considered.
* A minimum of 3 years in an active live news or production operation(s).
* Candidate must have proven audio production skills.
* Experience working in a translation-based environment preferred.
* Candidate must demonstrate proficiency on a variety of control room audio equipment: Wheatstone, SSL preferred.
