Role Summary:
The Engineering for Kids Instructor will prepare, teach, and manage student
behavior in Engineering for Kids classes.
Job Location: Dubai, UAE
Work Schedule: Mon-Fri, 10AM-5PM, 1 Saturday/month
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
* Teaching Engineering For Kids, Curriculum consisting of coding, Lego Robotics and science activities;
* Teach classes in a professional manner;
* Prepare for each class by gathering supplies, preparing supplies and reviewing curriculum;
* Proactively go over all curriculum and supplies needed in order to suggest better and cost effective alternatives;
* Practice excellence in teaching when offering Engineering for Kids programs;
* Understand all curricular elements in Engineering for Kids programs by attending teacher training and reviewing curriculum when deemed necessary;
* Provide appropriate instruction that considers the unique abilities of every student;
* Maintain a positive learning environment by using appropriate classroom management strategies;
* Constantly strive to improve instruction through reflection and evaluation;
* Communicate with parents and students about student behavior and progress in Engineering for Kids programs;
* Implement appropriate Engineering for Kids child safeguarding procedures;
* Assist in the preparation of presentations to private schools and other;
Requirements and Qualifications:
* Be courteous and approachable by students, parents, and staff
* Follow polices of the franchise location which include, but are not limited to, safety procedures and dress code
* Follow procedures found in Engineering for Kids documentation and curriculum
* Use effective teaching skills that motivate students to learn.
* Perfect English
* Excellent communication skills
* Highly skilled in dealing with Kids
Education and Experience:
* Bachelor of Science in Mechatronics, Computer Science, Electric/Electronics Engineering
* 1 to 3 years of experience as STEM instructor
* Thorough experience in Robotics, Coding, C++, Java, etc.
