* Experience working on technology policy issues within government, think tanks, public interest groups, companies, or related industry associations.
* Ability to speak and write in English and Hebrew, Arabic, Spanish, or Portuguese fluently.


Preferred qualifications:
* Experience working with a diverse range of clients or partners to build impactful and collaborative relationships, establishing complex agreements.
* Ability to think strategically and convert complex issues into straightforward, timely action.
* Ability to influence and communicate cross-functionally and externally.


About the job


As a member of Google's Government Affairs and Public Policy team, you'll be
part of a diverse global government affairs team, working across regions,
product areas, and functions. You'll combine creativity and intellectual
excellence with the organizational skills to manage various campaigns,
projects and initiatives. In this role, you'll advocate for Google to bring
external perspectives back into the company to inform our perception and
direction. You're passionate about the opportunity to shape the future of how
we use and build technology for everyone.


Responsibilities



  • Lead public policy strategy for Emerging Market region for Google's Consumer product areas, including working with cross-functional teams to support our global business objectives and drive policy and regulatory outcomes.

  • Manage policy projects on a host of issues affecting Google's Consumer product areas, including privacy, content, and cross-industry relations.

  • Work with Product, Business, and Engineering teams and the regional policy teams in Emerging Markets to advise on the policy and political implications of product development in Google's Knowledge and Information product areas.

  • Work within a global team to develop public policy strategies and positions for Google's Consumer products, including the creation of materials supporting advocacy on those positions.

  • Engage with industry players and key opinion formers to shape policy dialogue around responsible technology and the beneficial impact it can contribute to society and economy.
