Workshop Supervisor (Oil and Gas)

Responsibilities:
* Fully Accountable for the Dubai workshop.
* Ensure highest standards of HSE.
* Manage Workshop, personnel and equipment readiness to meet operational and sales goals.
* Plans to maximize personnel and equipment utilization.
* Manage cost controls within the workshop / field.
* Ensure equipment and service quality is continually enhanced. Responsible for regional Asset management.
* Develop, train and motivate his staff to ensure consistently high standards of performance and effectiveness.
* Actively promotes HS&E.
* Develop, implement and maintain standards, procedures and training to satisfy company QA requirements and client expectations.
* Manages Equipment, workshop personnel utilization, customer feedback, client requirements.
* Actively keep and update Asset management database.
* Acts in the interest of the company always. Ensure that NOV policies are adhered to at all times.
* Accountable for all workshop activities and scheduling, supervise workshop personnel and field engineers in the workshop. Ensure equipment quality, readiness and utilization levels.
* Supervise on-site installations, maintenance and equipment or screen testing as required. Rig audits as required to ensure quality is maintained to ensure quality is maintained. Carry out / oversee rig surveys for new sales or rental equipment, compile rig survey reports and liaise with clients.
* Ensure workshop cost controls are in place, tools are tracked and that installation materials are reused.
* Liaise closely with the General Manager and Country Managers within the region to ensure that on-going operational issues are met in a prompt and efficient manner.
* Handle technical issues in a prompt and efficient manner. Compile technical reports.
* Troubleshoot equipment and ensure timely repair. Ensure all field equipment is in good condition, operated efficiently, maintained properly and correctly installed.
* Ensure compliance with local regulations and labour law.
* Champion the shift towards nationalization of personnel in a prompt and efficient manner.
* Carry out training of Brandt field personnel and also rig crews, etc as and when require. Ensure a high level of technical competence amongst field personnel.
* Ensure housekeeping at the base / workshop is in line with NOV standards at all times.
* Ensure all work is carried out in a safe manner and no unnecessary risks are taken which might cause injury to personnel or damage to company / client property.
* Carry out toolbox talks, safety meetings and distribute any new technical or safety memos to personnel at the rig site.
* Actively ensures his own health and safety, together with that of fellow workers at all times.
* Mentor and role model for all Dubai employees - work ethic, appearance, timekeeping.
* Supports as required other NOV Brandt locations.
* Perform other reasonable tasks and duties, as requested by management.
* Supervises and has effective control of personnel including implementation of company policies regarding timekeeping, holiday planning, performance reviews and disciplinary procedures.
* Reporting requirements include maintenance logs, equipment passports, non-conformance reporting, job cards, equipment checklist and commissioning, QA/QC reporting.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Qualifications : BSc engineering degree.
Experience :
* Minimum ‎5 years' experience managing similar operations on service companies providing services on drilling operations onshore and offshore.
* Solids Control and Waste management experience

Skills: Being able to be a team player and to manage a group of highly
skilled individuals.
Quality Assurance: To ensure that the Company's Quality Control (QC) and
Quality Assurance (QA) system and procedures are adhered to
Training: Train, motivate and develop staff in all FluidControl product
lines or any other product or system within personal competence and
capabilities.
Health, Safety and Environment: Ensure full awareness of and compliance
with the requirements of all company HSE procedures and policies.
Actively ensure his own health and safety, together with that of fellow
workers, or any 3rd parties at all times.
To ensure that all accidents and/or incidents are reported in a timely manner
(within ‎12 hours) to the Safety Department and Line Management.
