Job Summary:
Responsible for direct supervision of the Training Specialist staff.
* Compile and submit operational status reports to senior management on program issues. Works with multi-functional team to identify operational deficiencies and recommend various approaches for resolution of outstanding issues and task order requirements
* Monitor and review medical services and providers to ensure fulfillment of contract and government medical deployment requirements, adequate staffing and materials, and compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
* Conduct site visits to inspect and evaluate quality of medical services.
* Responsible for training personnel of contractors and subcontracts, and other federal, state, and local agencies.
* Conduct, facilitate and lead training presentations, focusing primarily on emergency operations and related subjects.
* Evaluate effectiveness of training/course presentations.
* Develop and revise courses, using instructional system design & development methodology.
* Formulate teaching outlines and determine instructional methods, and utilizing knowledge of specified training needs and effectiveness.
* Develop and select training aids, such as multimedia visual aids, and training handbooks.
* Test students to measure progress and evaluate effectiveness of such training.
* Investigate new technologies and techniques for potential benefit for new trainer acquisition.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
* Train/mentor assigned staff.
* Organize project and task workloads and selects individuals most qualified for assignments.
* Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Minimum Requirements:
Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
Minimum of six (6) years of job related experience, emphasizing the
profession/occupation and/or emphasizing education, adult learning, or
teaching and learning technologies, including supervision/management
experience. High School Diploma or equivalent. Good working knowledge of local
area and local customs. Strong knowledge of the Army Mobilization and
Deployment Reference (AMDR). Ability to operate all on-line data bases that
pertain to the operation. Ability to communicate effectively in a classroom
setting. Understand MOD-16 Tab A of the AMDR. Good communications skills;
requires operating application software including word-processing and
spreadsheet programs.
Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:
Typical office environment with no unusual hazards. Occasional lifting to 20
pounds. Constant sitting while using the computer terminal and processing and
reviewing documents and constant use of sight abilities while reviewing
documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication,
constant mental alertness, must possess planning/organizing skills, and must
be able to work under deadlines. Position may require travel.
