Job Purpose: Lead the Innovation capability for the Emirates Group innovation
ecosystem and its programmes (e.g. Intelak, Aviation X-Labs) amongst others.
Responsible for driving the culture of innovation within the Emirates Group
(working with stakeholders across the business) to deliver business value and
contribute to Dubai and the UAE's innovation vision. Through the Innovation
Office create and manage the funnel of business challenges and opportunities,
driving technology-led 'step change' within the Emirates Group. Continuously
mature the existing innovation ecosystem, manage senior internal and external
stakeholders with a view to creating value for the Emirates Group and the
overall technology innovation ecosystem. Continuously scan the horizon for
latest technologies and through the funnel seek to create opportunities for
creating business value by combining the two. Key Accountabilities:- - Define
the innovation strategy and continuously mature Emirates Group Innovation
ecosystem including Aviation XLabs, Intelak and Innovation at Scale and
oversee respective program construct to deliver value as per program cadences
for Emirates Group and our partners. - Understand Emirates Group business
strategy, key drivers, and direction to constantly seek and suggest areas of
improvement through effective use of innovative solutions. Ensure innovation
concepts and new technologies are aligned to business needs, to the IT
strategy and deliver value to business owners and IT strategy. - Develop and
maintain close and effective working relationship with key stakeholders
internally and externally. To facilitate this, maintain broad understanding of
the business domain, related systems and technology trends. Act as trusted
advisor, influence senior business managers on strategic decisions on
innovation-based IT investment and ensure that focus is on needs and Group's
perspective is fully considered. - Transform Emirates into the leading
technology organisation in the region and becoming the leader in innovation in
travel. Ensure that research is undertaken to understand and apply technology
megatrends and direction relevant for business areas, ensuring that IT becomes
a proactive and innovative enabler supporting the business in having a
competitive advantage; constantly seek and suggest areas of innovation through
effective use of IT. Specific input and recommendations from the research must
contribute to definition of IT strategy and work programme business areas.
Continuously drive the culture of Innovation everywhere and translate
Innovation efforts into business benefit - Define and manage the budgets
associated with our Innovation Ecosystem including partner contributions.
Continuously look at ways to optimize budgets whilst generating maximum value
for Emirates Group and our partners. Ideate and deliver on Innovative models
to generate funding to propel the Innovation agenda of Emirates Group. -
Accountable for the operation of all physical facilities related to our
Innovation Ecosystem, ensuring they are fit for purpose and appropriate
environment for an innovation capability. - Manage the Innovation Boards of
all programs made up of selected internal and external executives to
periodically advise on vision, strategy, selection, adoption and
prioritisation of ideas. This includes monitoring and revising the allocation
of funds and resources according to the Board's recommendations, to ensure the
Innovation key objectives are met and the maximum business benefits are
achievable. - Take responsibility to spread innovative thinking and innovation
as a culture through IT and onwards to the rest of the Group. Drive awareness
throughout the Group, in collaboration with Corporate Comms and leveraging the
various available channels within our Innovation Ecosystem. - Create, own and
manage technology 'incubators' and inspire IT and Group employees to
participate in the introduction and incubation of leading-edge technologies.
Ensure that new technologies are trialed in real-life business situations, and
assist technology owners in developing business cases for the adoption of
promising technologies. Manage dedicated and diverse virtual communities and
take responsibility for delivery of solutions during the incubation phase of
technology adoption. Plan capabilities to manage such technologies within the
IT organisation and ensure smooth transition from innovation to production
Qualifications & Experience: Key Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:-

Information Technology.Other 10+ Years Knowledge/Skills: A strong experience
background in IT Innovation, delivery to business needs and an overall view of
technologies. Extensive knowledge of Innovation practices Relationship
Management, Project Management, Software delivery methods & tools Software
Development, Process improvement., Executive Stakeholder Management, Strategic
Thinking, Growth Mindset, Problem Solving.
