Commis I at Waldorf Astoria Dubai International Financial Centre
A Commis 1 at Waldorf Astoria Dubai International Financial Centre is
responsible for preparing and presenting high quality dishes to deliver an
excellent Guest experience.
What will I be doing?
As a Commis 1 at Waldorf Astoria Dubai International Financial Centre you will
be assisting in the daily operations, including the preparation of mis-en-
place and production. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the
following tasks to the highest standards:
* Knowledge of the individual menu items including basic ingredients, methods of preparation, and presentation style.
* Maintain kitchen hygiene and cleanliness.
* Gain basic knowledge of all outlets in hotel.
* Responsible for mise en place.
* Taste and examine food prepared for freshness and required quality.
* Set up section as required by Chef De Partie and Sous Chef.
* Be responsible for minimizing food wastage.
* Attend and comprehend all information discussed at the briefing sessions.
* Be pro-actively involved in the hotel's operation keeping up-to-date with events within the hotel.

successfully fill this role, you should posses the following skills and
characteristics:
* Previous experience as a Commis Chef
* Positive attitude.
* Good communication skills.
* Ability to work under pressure.
* Proven ability to work with a team and to follow instruction.
* A passion to learn and a drive to succeed in a culinary/hospitality career and the culinary arts.
* Proof of completion in a basic food hygiene course.
